The vessel is a 14.6m Naiad Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat with an enclosed bridge, built in New Zealand in 2003 and configured as a SAR vessel. The vessel has been well maintained and is currently on active service, ready for deployment by Coastguard. Powered by twin 3126 Caterpillar marine diesel engines, each developing 420 BHP at 2800 RPM, which allows her to cruise at 23 knots, with a sprint speed of 28 knots. The vessel is equipped with a good array of electronics, overnight crew accommodation and survivor area. The vessel is in Maritime NZ survey. The rigid hull is of aluminium construction and has a hard chine configuration with a 20-degree deep vee. The rigid part of the hull is welded marine grade aluminium plate on frames, stringers and fore and aft girders. The decks and cabin structure are also of welded aluminium construction. The underside of the aluminium hull, the stern and the cabin has been finished in 2-pot paint. The cockpit sole and fore deck are finished with Flexi Teak. The large diameter red inflated tubes polyurethane/PVC blended inflated tubes are fitted around the outside hull. These tubes are removable for maintenance and repair. There are two separate air chambers in each side. There is a large cockpit aft with access up to the bridge and stairs down to the aft cabin which has 2 bunks, moving forward is the toilet cubicle to port and shower cubicle to starboard, up stairs to the saloon with the galley to port and a U shaped settee and table to starboard, down stairs to the forward cabin which has a bunk on either side with access onto the fore deck. The wheelhouse is where most onboard operations are controlled. The helm station is to starboard with seating for three. A navigation/ operation station is located directly aft of the helm station. General Description

A fantastic opportunity to purchase a fully operational Search and Rescue Vessel. 

The vessel is a 14.6m Naiad Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat with an enclosed bridge, built in New Zealand in 2003 and configured as a SAR vessel. The vessel hasbeen well maintained and is currently on active service, ready for deployment by Coastguard. main electrical panel with fuses and isolating switches is found in the saloon with a distribution panel in the wheelhouse.

Batteries are charged from the large 12 V alternators mounted on each of the main engines and a Panda 12V DC generator, also by battery charger when thevessel is on 240 volt AC from a shore side supply.The starboard main engine is fitted with a belt driven high output mechanic bilge/fire pump.The vessel has a 1500 litre fuel capacity, fuel is delivered through primary and secondary fuel filters. Freshwater capacity is 350 litres. Pressure freshwater isdelivered to the galley, shower and head areas.

The saloon area has a U shaped settee which comfortably seats six around the dining table with galley opposite, equipped with 2 burner stove, grill and oven,gas detector, microwave, stainless sink and ample storage cupboards. Adjacent to the galley is a small flat screen TV and CD/DVD player.

On the foredeck is a Maxwell 2200 anchor winch is responsible for deploying the plough anchor and the all chain rode. Access is provided through a customhatch to the chain locker. The aft cockpit is illuminated by 2 floodlights mounted on the wheelhouse and has a large towing bit fixed on the aft cockpit coaming. Under the cockpit sole are 2 large hatches giving access to the lazarrette and steering arrangement.

The wheelhouse is enclosed with glass forward and on the sides with roll down clears aft and has an impressive tower arrangement for the antenna, lights, radarand other essentials. Mounted at the after end of the wheelhouse, is an electrically operated tow winch and a davit.

The vessel is in MNZ survey, set up and equipped as a New Zealand Coast Guard Search and Rescue vessel. She is surveyed as a non-passenger/passenger-carrying vessel in enclosed and inshore waters and carries lifesaving appliances for 20 persons.The vessel is set up with all the safety equipment required for its survey and is also equipped with additional search and rescue equipment and emergency gear.
