Multiphase Flow Meter Flowatch

Pietro Fiorentini Multiphase Flow Meter is a non intrusive, inline system providing real time measurement o oil,

water and gas fow rates in the dispersed phase o the fow avoiding the use o large systems based on phase

separation.

Technology

Flowatch 3I and Flowatch HS are the new generation o Pietro Fiorentini Multiphase Flowmeters, created as an

evolution o the top selling non radioactive Flowatch model developed in 2004, implementing the latest state o the

art technologies in order to provide an even more reliable and robust measurement to our customers

The fow rates o oil, water and gas are calculated based on the measurements o the fuid dielectric properties, o

the dierential pressure across the venturi inlet.

In the HS model, density is measured through gamma ray detection. No separating devices, mixers or by-pass

lines are needed. The fuid velocity is measured with a new array cross-correlation o the high resolution time

signals rom three pairs o electrodes located inside the venturi insert, resulting in a higher perormance.
