CONSIDERATIONS
CERTIFIED WEDDING PLANNER
From the first day you consider hosting your big day
at the Minneapolis Marriott West, you will be working
with your Marriott Certified Wedding Planner (CWP).
Your CWP will work with you on every detail for your
special day. Our team is dedicated and excited to
personalize and execute each of your wedding
dreams.
MARRIOTT REWARDS POINTS
Earn points towards free stays, merchandise and
services, or earn frequent flyer miles on your favorite
airline! Marriott Rewards Points will be processed
after the conclusion of your event. Ask your CWP for
further information.
GUARANTEES
The final attendance for your events must be
specified seven business days prior to your event
with the final meal guarantee being no later than 3
business days prior to your event(s). This number is
considered a guarantee and is not subject to
reduction. If there is a decrease in the guest count
after the final guarantees have ben confirmed, the
Hotel will charge the full guaranteed amount.
DISCOUNTED GUESTROOM RATE
Minneapolis Marriott West would be happy to set up
a courtesy block of sleeping rooms for your guests.
Ask you Marriott Certified Wedding Planner for
details and information on how to secure a
discounted room rate for you guests.
DEPOSIT POLICY
Once you choose the Minneapolis Marriott West, we
require a signed contract as well as a non-
refundable deposit of $1,000.00. Until the deposit is
received, all space reservations are considered
tentative and are subject to release. The event will
be confirmed upon receipt of the initial deposit and
signed contract. The final balance including tax and
service charge is due three business days prior to
your event.
PRICING
A taxable service charge of 24% will be added to
all event costs. All costs are subject to applicable
taxes at the time of the event. Some menu items
are subject to additional costs based on the size of
the group, labor requirements or market
conditions. All fees will be clearly stated on the
banquet event order.
FOOD & BEVERAGE POLICY
Minneapolis Marriott West must approve all
outside food and beverage brought on premise.
There will be fees assessed for any outside food or
beverage brought in.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation notice must be in writing. A cancellation
fee may be assessed and determined by date written
notice is received by Minneapolis Marriott West.
OUTSIDE VENDORS
Any vendors contracted for your event must
provide proof of insurance and are subject to the
approval of the Hotel. Your CWP must be notified
of all outside vendors providing service at your
event. Fees may assessed based on outside
vendor services.
MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT
All music must end by 1:00am. It is important for
your entertainment provider to contact your CWP in
regards to special setup. Minneapolis Marriott west
reserves the right to control the volume of your
entertainment.

CONSIDERATIONS
DISPLAYS & SIGNAGE
The hotel will not permit the affixing of anything to
the walls, floor or ceiling with nails, staples, carpet
tape, or other substance that would leave a
permanent mark. All displays, banners and/or
signage of any kind must be of a professional quality
and may not be used without pre authorization from
the Minneapolis Marriott West .
SECURITY AND LIABILITY
Minneapolis Marriott West does not assume
responsibility for damage or loss of any items left
unattended in the Hotel public areas or function
space. The Hotel does not have on site security so
please notify your CWP if you are interested in hiring
security.
DELIVERIES
Please have all deliveries clearly labeled with your
guest’s name, event name, date of event and CWP’s
name. To ensure property delivery, each item must
be labeled as follows:

Any outgoing items will need to be coordinated
with your CWP. Packaging, labeling, and shipping

DECORATIONS
Décor adds a personal touch to your big day.
Minneapolis Marriott West offers complimentary
centerpieces. No confetti, glitter, rice, bird seed are
permitted. No smoke or fog machines, gas or
propane devices are permitted. Open flames are
not permitted – all candles or other open flames
must be inclosed in glass. Any violation of this
policy will result in a minimum $300 cleaning
charge.
SMOKING
Minneapolis Marriott West is a non-smoking facility
including all guest rooms, banquet space, and public
space. Designated outdoor areas have been setup
for the convenience of smoking guests.
SETUP
Minneapolis Marriott West associates will assist with
your decorations. Decorations must be clearly
labeled with a packing list for ease of the associates.
The Hotel is not responsible for any damaged or loss
of any items.
AUDIO VISUAL
A full range of audio visual equipment is available;
please see your CWP for details
WEDDING GIFTS & CARDS
The Hotel is not responsible for any lost or stolen
wedding gifts/cards. It is the responsibility of the
wedding party to assign a gift attendant to secure
and monitor the gifts during the reception. Your
CWP will provide a bell cart to assist the gift
attendant with escorting gifts to the designated
storage area.
