For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. - 1 Corinthians 3:11
. . . Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone. - Ephesians 2:20b
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man,
which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew,
and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth
these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house
upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that
house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. - Matthew 7:24-27
No Disgrace
Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious:
and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. - 1Pe 2:6 KJV
kataischyn - [k-ts-kh'-n] - to be put to shame, to be disgraced, to have hope meet with failure
The Nature of Rock
. . . with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. - Jam 1:17b
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever. - Hebrews 13:8
ametathetos - [-me-t'-the-tos] - immutable, fixed, unchanging, unalterable, without variance

Wherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his
counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to
lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before
us: - Hebrews 6:17-18
1. He Promised
2. He Cannot Lie
Fixed, Fastened, and Firm
Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. He shall not be
afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. His heart is established, he shall not be
afraid, until he see [his desire] upon his enemies. - Psalm 112:6-8
kuwn - [kn] - to be fixed, fastened, established, stable, secured, firm, and resolute
camak - [smak'] - braced, sustained, upheld, undergirded and supported
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the
earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters
thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. There is a
river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most
High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. The
heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. The LORD of hosts is
with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations
he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and
cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be
exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of
Jacob is our refuge. Selah. - Psalm 46:1-11
mowt - [mte] - to be moved, shaken, overthrown, dislodged
His heart is kuwn (fixed, fastened, and firm) and camak (upheld and undergirded). I will not be mowt
(moved, shaken, or overthrown) or kataischyn (put to shame or disgraced).

Steadfast, Immovable, and Always Abounding in the Work
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the
Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. - 1 Corinthians 15:58
Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these
things, ye shall never fall: - 2 Peter 1:10
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of
his glory with exceeding joy, - Jude 1:24
I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. - Psalm
16:8
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be
moved. - Psalm 55:22
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my
salvation: he is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my
strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him:
God is a refuge for us. Selah. - Psalm 62:5-8
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee,
neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee. - Isaiah
54:10
As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth
even for ever. - Psalm 125:2
