Triple Diploma- SIT50313 Diploma of Hospitality, SIT50212 Diploma of Events, BSB50207 Diploma of Business Give yourself a competitive advantage for obtaining a career in Hospitality and Events by completing the Triple Diploma at North Coast Institute of TAFE- Kingscliff. Develop essential skills in Marketing, Small Business Management and e-Business to complement Supervisory and operative skills in Hospitality and Event Management. This qualification will lead to career opportunities such as; conference coordinator, event coordinator, event planner, event sales coordinator, venue coordinator, banquet or function manager, motel manager, restaurant manager and small business entrepreneur. Units delivered in this course include: • Planning and management of live events • Human resource and financial management of small business operations This qualification has pathways into SIT60313 Advanced Diploma of Hospitality and SIT60212 Advanced Diploma of Events offered by NCIT when course complete as well as links to University Pathways. Delivery: • On Campus: three- four days per week (Tuesday- Friday), classes ranging from 9:00am- 10:30pm (late nights for Live Restaurant Operations) 42 weeks in total. For 20 weeks one of the 4 days will be industry placement, negotiated with NCIT. • Online resources are provided to students supporting a blended delivery approach • Students are encouraged to set aside 10 hours a week of at home study time Our staff: Our staff are highly qualified and experienced event and hospitality industry professionals, such as restaurant and venue managers, event managers and coordinators, small business owners and teachers with recent and current experience in the field and excellent industry connections. Fees and charges: Please refer to the handout on payment options and Smart and Skilled eligibility. Students who wish to obtain a licence for Responsible Service of Alcohol will need to pay a $70 fee, however this is not a compulsory outcome to achieve this qualification.
