Increasing proliferation of media, the notion of making adulthood seem cooler, is showing a steady trend in the self image of young girls. It has proved so impactful that parents have to give in to the irrational demands of young girls to take them out for beauty salons, nail sessions and expensive shopping sprees. Here are a few ways in which as a parent, you can associate your young girls’ self esteem by appreciating her true self:

Role Model body acceptance.
Mothers have a huge impact on their daughters’ body image. Don’t ask, “Do these clothes make me look fat?” or obsess out loud about food or put your own appearance down.
