Thursday, August 26, 2010 Sports 13 The Brownsville States-Graphic The SYS football season features the youth of Haywood County and the future Tomcats of tomorrow. The league showcases three different divisions that follows the same rules as the high school and also has their own cheerleaders. The league boasts many talented individuals and coaches that volunteer their time and efforts to enable the youth a chance to learn football at a young age. The league has been practicing for three weeks and the ages range from 6 to 13 years old. The league is in need of volunteers to help with transportation and water for the games. The league has hosted fundraisers to help with the fees for the ones not able to afford the entry fees. There are four games hosted here in Brownsville and four games away. The season kicks off with the jamboree Saturday in Memphis.
