The saturated ground is composed of a silt / clay. Full removal of the soil will be
required and replacement with road base to avoid future settlement issues.

Excavation of the area revealed a waterline under complete failure.

Hand removals to clean around the
repair zone begin.
The broken section is
removed for a new coupler to
be installed.

Pipe cleaned, prepped, and a new coupler is ready for install to complete
the pipe repair.

New coupler is installed, pressure tested, and backfilling to start after test has
passed. Line flushing to be done and then ready for service.
Repair time approximately 8 hours
