STENHØJ PLAY DETECTORRecognised to be the best unit on the market, the Stenhøj play detector is approved for Class 4 and 7 testing for lift and pit applications. The play detector is pneumatically operated, and has been installed by the Swedish Vehicle Inspectorate at over 600 sites. A handlamp in a toughened rubber casing is used to operate the play detector both laterally and rotationally.

The play detector can withstand a drive-over axle load of 7.5t, and a stationary axle load of 3t.

STENHØJ 2 TONNE AND 2.8 TONNE JACKING BEAMSThese jacking beams are available as hand or air operated with a capacity of either 2 tonne (class 4) or 2.8 Tonne (class 7). Featuring double arm extensions, the jacking beams have a maximum reach of 1605mm and a maximum lifting height of 205mm.

Accessories available include rubber pads, rubber blocks and air connection kit.

ATL SCISSOR LIFTSWe offer a 4.5tonne ATL Scissor lift approved for class 4 testing and a 5 tonne scissor lift approved for class 4 & 7 testing. These lifts are electro-hydraulic and are only available as recessed versions.

LITECHECK2 HEADLIGHT TESTERThis unit is approved for Class 4 and 7 testing, and is supplied with 3-metre rails. Additional lengths of rails are available in 1.5 metre sections. The unit is also available with a laser for easy vehicle alignment.

WHAT ARE OPTL AND ATL?In 2006 the option to install ‘Automated Test Lanes’ was introduced by VOSA. Existing MOT stations could then simultaneously upgrade their equipment and reduce labour costs by using one person (OPTL). The additional equipment required was a lift or pit with a play detector, pedal depressor and a pair of mirrors.

All new MOT applications wishing to ‘One Person Test’ are now required to go full ATL. This also includes a computerised brake tester with weigh scales in addition to the items required for OPTL. Traditional ‘2 Person’ MOT testing with the appropriate equipment continues, and new sites may still apply for this.

INSTALLATION FINANCE

From the moment the equipment is delivered to your site on vehicles with unloading facilities, we will install speedily and efficiently. It is our goal to deliver and install on time so you may maximise your revenue.

We will provide all necessary certification for you to obtain your VOSA approval.

We are able to offer competitive lease packages via reputable finance companies over 1-5 year periods.

We have over 20 years of expertise in the MOT market, so call us and we will arrange a site visit and survey. Our CAD office will then produce detailed layout plans for submission to VOSA for your MOT approval. We are fully acquainted with all the current regulations!

We can offer a total solution for your MOT bay! We work with our authorised and fully qualified sub-contractors, who will carry out all necessary site works.

Our builders will cut recesses and ducts for lifts, brake testers and headlight testers. Our NICEIC electricians will provide all the required electrical supplies and connection for your new equipment. Alternatively, we are pleased to provide the information for you to pass on to your contractors.

BM is one of the leading manufacturers of brake testers in the world and provide hi-tech equipment for all classes. All the latest ATL equipment is controlled by a PDA and either the PC on a gas analyser or a separate PC. VOSA and GEA engineers visited the BM factory to gain approval for their ATL Brake testers. These computerised brake testers automatically guide the operator through the test and by using the weigh scales calculate brake efficiency. Test results may be printed out.
