Inside this issue:
Kube’s Korner 2019-2020 THEME:
Fruits of the Spirit
Love, Joy, Peace, Patience,
Kindness, Goodness,
Faithfulness, Gentleness
and Self-Control
What a list. This school
year each month we will
focus on one of the Fruits
of the Spirit. When I first
thought of bringing this as
a theme for the school year
to teachers, I thought it
was a wonderful list on
how God wants us to live
our lives and offers these
gifts to us. As I studied the
list and prayed throughout
the summer, I noticed how
much we need the Lord’s
help and guidance with
these gifts. Throughout
the school year, please ask
your student to share
about the Fruits of the
Spirit and may God lead
us to grow in these Fruits
all year. Principal Kube
Catechetical Week 2 Bible Verse of the Week: Psalm 111:10 The fear of the
LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who practice
it have good understanding. His praise endures
forever.

4th COMMANDMENT
Pre+ Honor your fa-
ther and your moth-
er.
1st+ What does this
mean?
We should fear and love God so that we do not des-pise or anger our parents and other authorities, but honor them, serve and obey them, love and cherish them.
Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit
is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faith-
fulness, gentleness, self-
control; against such
things there is no law.

3rd COMMANDMENT
Pre+ Remember the
Sabbath day by keep-
ing it holy.
2nd+ What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not des-pise preaching and His Word, but hold it sacred and gladly hear and learn it.
Oh, Blest the House #862
1. Oh, blest the house, whate’er befall, Where Jesus Christ is all in all! A home that is not wholly His- How sad and poor and dark it is!

The Fairmont Area Schools will
again be providing our students
with a healthy, nutritious lunch
this year. You may view the menu
online any time at: fairmontareas-
chools.nutrislice.com.
The menus are integrated with web
and mobile apps so you can get easy
access to daily menu choices, nutri-
tional information and food aller-
gies.
Parents need to contact Mary Cole
of Fairmont Area Schools at 235-
4006 or [email protected]
in order to set up an account. Once
your account is set up, you will be
able to view your account balance
and make payments online using
the “Skyward Parent Access” link
from the district website: fair-
mont.k12.mn.us.
The price for one stu-
dent lunch is $2.80 for
students in Preschool
through Grade 6. Stu-
dents in Grades 7 & 8 are charged
$2.90 per meal. An extra milk is
$0.65. An adult lunch costs $3.65.
If your child has a food allergy or is
lactose intolerant, please pick up a
“Special Diet Statement” form from
our school office. Once completed
and signed by a health professional,
the form will need to be submitted
to the kitchen staff.
————————————————
Your child may qualify for free or
reduced-price lunch meals. To ap-
ply, pick up an “Application for Ed-
ucational Benefits” in the school
office. The application must be
returned by September 15.
The purpose of Scrip fundraising is to
fundraise while you shop! Raise money
for St. Paul Lutheran School (or a specif-
ic family in our school) just by purchas-
ing gas, groceries, and other items. You
receive the full value of what you paid
plus you earn an immediate rebate per-
centage of what you spent-typically be-
tween 3% and 15%, depending on the
retailer. Use the proceeds to supplement
the school budget, or families can receive
credit toward tuition and other school
expenses. Contact Joan Abel with any
questions ([email protected] or
507-236-9521).
The first Scrip order will be sent in
Friday, September 6th.
giving the child. Thank you for your cooperation.

St. Paul Lutheran School has insurance coverage with
Church Mutual that provides some cov-
erage for your child during school time.
All students are covered in school and on
field trips. The policy does not cover
sports activities off the premises.
A message from the school nurse: If it is necessary for
your child to have medication during the school day,
you and your physician must complete and sign
a medication permit each year which is in the
school office. Your child should then bring the permit
to the classroom teacher. Please do not send any
medication to school in an envelope or plastic bag;
send in the original container.
If we are to accept the responsibility of administering
the medication, we must know exactly what we are
