CHAPLAIN’S REPORT OF SICK AND DISTRESSED Bernie Loechel continues to have health problems but is in great spirits. Oran Lakin had successful knee surgery and is on the mend.

Terry Mizell has received his test results and is marking time for now. Gary Nasby had successful neck surgery and is on the mend. Dave Lindauer recovering from throat cancer surgery. Joe Lohman has his service dog, Sampson. Service Dog School held its graduation

this evening. Charlene Eversole is cancer free and doing very well. A.J. White is having some problems with the VA Hospital REPORT OF OFFICERS AND COMMITTEES Commandant Nasby:

• First nominations for election of 2015 Officers will be held at the January meeting. Anyone who wishes to run should contact Commandant Nasby who is the Election Committee Chair.

• Veterans Administration is offering free hand gun locks. Senior Vice Commandant Hutchison:

• Thanks to members who are helping in the kitchen at Bingo. Anyone else who can help out by contributing a few hours will be appreciated

Junior Vice Commandant Lund: • Went to the new Drill Center to invite those Marines to join the MCL

Judge Advocate Lakin: • No Report

Adjutant/Paymaster Wukitsch: • In the process of changing the rent payments made by Hiram I Bearss

Detachment 089 to Marine Foundation of Indiana in order to comply with Indiana Gaming Law. First increased rental check of $966 will be made on December 29th. Beginning in January, the Marine Foundation of Indiana will pay all utility bills except for Bright House and GoDaddy.

• Indy Honor Flight has scheduled two flights of 100 WWII Veterans each (Alpha and Bravo) for Saturday, April 4, 2015. The Welcome Home will be between 8:30 PM and 9:00 PM in Plainfield High School.

Sergeant-at-Arms Regan: • 22 people attending. $70/50/50. • Rifle Team update – Still signing up team members. Have enough for one team,

trying to get a second. Junior Past Commandant Albright:

• Bingo is making money but not as much as we would like to make. We need to “share” bingo flyers that are being placed on Facebook.

Tim Hutchison will chair this committee. VA Hospital trip will be scheduled by Jesus Quintana, Jr.

GOOD OF THE DETACHMENT MIAP Rick Baum said that they have found some Civil War, WWI and WWII

Veterans and interred them. This Spring there will be another interment in Southern Indiana.

There is a veteran who is suffering with PTSD and has a child who is in critical shape.

50/50 of $35 was won by Sam Tosi.
