The Lennox celebrates the history of its site, where the Lennox Bridge crosses the Parramatta River. Completed in 1839, it was the first major crossing of the river. The craftsmanship of its architect David Lennox lives on through the bridge’s elegant design, typical of the sandstone and Georgian architecture reminiscent of early Parramatta.

Steeped in colonial history, Parramatta was an elegant and peaceful escape from bustling Sydney Town. It was also the food bowl of the early colony, and has a rich Aboriginal heritage.

Along the streets of its bustling modern CBD, Parramatta still holds onto its rich history. On one side of the city you’ll discover the historic Lancer Barracks, Old Government House and a heritage cathedral. On the other, the luxury fashion and tech stores of the Westfield shopping centre and a vibrant dining scene.

LENNOX BRIDGECompleted in 1839, the elegant, single-arch Lennox Bridge replaced two earlier wooden structures that had been washed away by floods.
