Jerry Ueslmann

• He was an American photographer and was the founder of photomontage in the 1900s. He believed that he could live a life through his camera lens. For a living he used to photograph models before he landed the big job of making photomontages.

Master’s Impact

• He began teaching photography in 1960 at the University of Florida. In 1967 he opened his first solo exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art. He was considered to have a “magical skill” with his tools and ways of editing his pictures.

Homage

• I chose this person to homage because I like his style of photography. He does very interesting pieces of work and I would like to try to use the same techniques and create pictures that match his theme. I also have always liked the kind of photography that morphs two or more photos into one and still be able to make it look good.
