Next up are Tongue & Groove, a new South East London vocal group whose rehearsals are reportedly ‘like superfood for mental health’. John Hegley: A Potato ShowFRIDAY 18 MAY7.30PMJoin performance poet, comedian, musician and songwriter John Hegley as he takes us on a humorous journey with his songs, poems and drawings, relating to family and vegetables. His 14 books, from which he will read, include I Am a Poetato; Peace, Love & Potatoes, and New and Selected Potatoes. John has acted in the West End performed at the Montreal Comedy Festival, the USA Comedy Festival in Aspen and on BBC R4’s Hearing With Hegley. Dulwich Park FairSUNDAY 20 MAY12 NOON – 5PMDulwich Park Fair, now in its 11th year, is bringing back the fun dog show so bring your 4 legged friends to compete for the waggiest tail, the best trick or the dog most like its owner! We are a traditional country style fair and will have all the popular attractions such as the Fairground rides, Vauxhall City Farm, Punch and Judy, the Magician and Maypole dancing. The stage by the café will feature local musicians, brass bands, choirs and dance acts of all ages. The arena will have demonstrations including martial arts and the chance to try your skills on the gym equipment. There will be a great variety of world foods from roast hog to Caribbean cuisine, interesting craft and charity stalls and a chance to sample local craft beers, cider and wine.
