(PCSA) Celebration

Activity Report of DENR-PENRO Surigao del Sur

hilippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) month is celebrated

on September of every year which has been declared as the Civil

Service Month per Proclamation No. 1050, s. 1997. This year

marks the 118th PCSA with the theme “Lingkod Bayani: Maka-

Diyos, Makatao, Makabayani”.

In line with the celebration of the 118th PCSA, the personnel of the

DENR Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Surigao

del Sur has participated and conducted relevant activities in support to the

observance of the annual celebration. The following were some activities that

were undertaken by this office:

1. Hanging of the official anniversary tarpaulin at the office vicinity;

2. Participating the anniversary foot parade and short program;

3. Conducting the family day.

1. Hanging of the official anniversary tarpaulin at the office vicinity. On

the first week of September 2018, this office posted the official 118th PCSA

tarpaulin at the office façade.

2. Participating the 118th PCSA anniversary program. All personnel of

DENR-PENRO Surigao del Sur have participated the motorcade and short

programme at Tandag City on September 19, 2017.

2. Participating the anniversary motorcade and short program.

The 118th PSCA commemorates the enactment of Public Law No. 5, “An

Act for the Establishment and Maintenance of an Efficient and Honest Civil

Service in the Philippine Islands” on September 19, 1900. The bureaucracy

also celebrates the achievements and contributions of the men and women in

government who uphold the country’s societal goals and over-all vision.

In line to this activity, the Department of Environment and Natural

Resources - Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-

PENRO) enjoined actively and take part in this anniversary celebration.

A motorcade was also held on September 19, 2018 and were

participated by this office together with different agencies in Tandag City.

2. Participating the anniversary motorcade and short program.

The DENR-PENRO Surigao del Sur personnel renew their oath of office during the mass

oath taking and renewal of oath reciting the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan as part of the

118th PCSA program of activity.

To bless the anniversary, a thanksgiving mass was graced by the Most Reverend Fr. Sedd

Irizari at the City Gymnasium, Tandag City, SDS after the motorcade activity.

3. Conducting the Family Day 2018. Due to the hectic schedules within

the month of September, the officials and employees conduct a Family

Day on October 02, 2018, at Lolinghayaw Beach Resort in Cagwait,

Surigao del Sur.

The Family Day was actively participated by all DENR-PENRO Surigao

del Sur personnel both the regular and contract of service including the on-

the-job training (OJT) students from Surigao del Sur State University

(SDSSU). Various activities were conducted like the group dance

presentations, group/family games and other fellowshipping activities.
