Prius+ off ers exceptional levels of space and comfort, with the ability to accommodate 7 adults and a boot space of 232 litres. Or simply fold the 3rd row seats down for a total of 784 litres. With three independent, split-folding 2nd row seats and a 50:50 split-folding 3rd tier, you can create almost any combination to suit your needs, whether you simply want more room for passengers to stretch out and relax or need extra space to load longer items such as skis.

Having children on board means it’s especially important to make driving itself as easy and safe as possible. With Prius+ you can access all information simply by touching the sensor on the steering wheel and see everything from fuel effi ciency to your speed at eye-level in the Head Up Display*, so you’ll never have to take your eyes off the road.

Prius+ also uses pitch control, which works with the suspension to vary motor torque on uneven road surfaces, resulting in smoother ride comfort, one that’s less likely to disturb little ones sleeping.

Be city friendly, with Hybrid Synergy Drive®.

Hybrid Synergy Drive® technology combines two electric motors and a 1.8 litre petrol engine, making it very city friendly. It automatically switches petrol mode off when you stop and remain stationary, for example at traffi c lights.

Prius+ will automatically use its Hybrid Synergy Drive® technology to choose the optimum driving mode by default, but you can also choose one of three modes yourself:

EV mode – perfect for dense city traffi c, this mode runs on pure electric power for up to 2 km, consuming no fuel and with zero CO emissions.

Power mode – giving you quicker, more responsive engine power.

Eco mode – great for most everyday driving; slightly reduces pedal response time, which lowers your fuel consumption.

With Hybrid Synergy Drive® technology, you’ll save money with better fuel effi ciency and take better care of the environment with lower CO emissions.

VSC+ helps to maintain stability and prevent skidding when turning sharply or cornering on slippery surfaces. Whenever the start of a skid is detected, it automatically activates individual brakes and controls engine output. In addition, it applies steering assistance to make it easier to get back on course.

Vehicle Stability Control Plus (VSC+)

In emergency braking situations, EBS fl ashes the vehicle’s brake lights repeatedly to alert following traffi c.

Emergency Brake-light Signal (EBS)

If you attempt an emergency stop, BA will detect this and apply additional brake pressure. This enables ABS to work to its maximum potential.

Brake Assist (BA)

HAC helps to ensure a smooth start on steep inclines by applying the brakes for up to 2 seconds after the brake pedal is released. This prevents the vehicle from rolling back. It is activated by pushing the brake pedal harder after stopping, as long as the transmission shift lever is in any forward gear position.

Prius+ is fi tted with seven airbags. Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) airbags

During an impact at lower speeds and particularly from the rear, WIL seats and headrests cushion the head and back. This reduces the risk of whiplash injuries.

Whiplash Injury Lessening (WIL) seats

ACC keeps you at a minimum preset distance from the vehicle in front. If this distance falls, ACC reduces your speed and eventually the brakes will be applied and brake lights activated. If the distance increases again, ACC will gradually accelerate until you return to your chosen cruising speed.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)*

If you accelerate too hard and cause the drive wheels to lose grip and begin spinning, TRC will automatically reduce engine power and control brake force to help restore traction.

Traction Control (TRC)

PCS uses radar technology to predict possible collisions with other vehicles or obstacles ahead and triggers a series of safety features.
