    EXT.DESERT PLANET, DAY ONE

[Sounds of desert winds blowing against the sands]

    NARRATOR

Day one of the fabled storm. The planet of Calugenia ravages its sandy plains with intense

winds. The temperature of the planet is obscenely cold, even if the planet is practically a

desert. A middle aged male is at his sanitys end, from his clothing he was an explorer or a

researcher, even with a mask to protect himself. The oxygen tank thats connected to his mask

by a flimsy elastic cord is threatening to snap at any second. He looks around, desperate to

    find a water source.

EXPLORER(panicked) Its still following me..!!! WHY DONT YOU LEAVE ME ALONE?!

(A female voice suddenly rings the air. She sings to the tune of Pop Goes The Weasel. )

    FEMALE VOICE

Round and round the desert land

    The hunter chased the man

The man thought he was going mad

    Pop Goes The Man

    A dune for a leg

A dune for an armThats how the chase goes

    Pop Goes The Man

    NARRATOR

A loud, thunderous roar echoes through the air as the explorer runs. He leads a desperate

struggle trying to get away from his attacker. Inevitably, fate stands in the way as he trips and

falls down another sand dune. He groans and shivers to recover from the fall to the sound of

    complete silence.

    EXPLORER

    (exasperated)..Is it gone....?

A sigh of relief befalls the explorer.

    NARRATOR

As he turns to retreat, the thunderous roar strikes again, him jumping in fright. It turns into a

silent growl as an unknown force leaps and bounds towards him. He looks in sheer fear and

utter terror as the creature jumps at him.

    EXPLORER

    NonoNO!!!! AHHHH!

  • 8/9/2019 1.10 Thirty Days Part 1 (REVISED DRAFT)

    3/22

(Sound as if the explorer's collapsed on the sand)

    NARRATOR

A familiar figure runs towards the explorer as his body lays there, it begins to become buried

by the sand as if it were fading away. This familiar figure is the Doctor, coughing andspluttering and masking his mouth with his jacket to help him breathe. He looks rather

    confused

    DOCTOR

    (muffled).Poor fellow.

    Roaring sound.

    NARRATOR

Sprinting as fast as his long alien legs could carry him, his hearts pounding at a massively

high rate, perhaps even unhealthy for a Time Lord. Eventually, he manages to make his wayto the blue box as he can hear breath coming down his neck.

INT. TARDIS CONTROL ROOM, DAY ONE

(Sounds of TARDIS door slamming and a quieter, yet intimidating roar)

    DOCTOR

Well, I think its safe to say it isnt wise to go out there. Unless youre me, in which case

    always investigate dangerous places.

    [Doctor Who theme]

INT. TARDIS CONTROL ROOM, DAY TWO

    NARRATOR

Day Two of the storm. The Doctor peers towards the TARDIS. The Time Rotor moves

painstakingly slowly, as if the TARDIS is struggling to move away from the planet. The

control panels rotated and hummed rather quietly in contrast, perfectly normal for the

TARDIS. He's spent the last several hours pondering to himself, now deciding to make his

    thoughts known.

    DOCTOR

The storm clouds contain heavy pockets of nitrous oxide in the aira hallucinogenic gas

used by dentists, laughing gas as its known on Earth. Hm, no pollen this time I see

Calugenia is typically known as an uninhabitable planetwell, Time Lord respiratory

methods should help at least for a while if I have to go out thereahthe atmosphere

outside of the storm clouds is an oxygen atmosphere, and it does push through when it can

but you wouldnt be able to stick around in the atmosphere for long before youd succumb to

the effects of the storm clouds. Okay, so long as I stay to maintain control about any

potential hallucinations, I should be okay. What year is this? (checks the screen) 2478.

Hmm.well, makes a change from constant visits to the 24th

century. Even if it is just 100years

    (Silence for a few moments)

..Blimey, new record for how long I can talk to myself for. That's not good.

[Sounds of pressing buttons, pulling levers. TARDIS humming]

NARRATORThe Doctor takes a look around the TARDIS. The slow hums of the engines fill the room.

The orange lighting of the ship is more dimmed than usual. He glanced back over to the

console. Something was missing. Or is missing. In a sudden sharp burst of realisation, the

Doctor hurries and glances around the TARDIS.

    DOCTOR

Alicia...where is she?! She could be anywherein the ship, on the planet, or somewhere off-

    world or another time!

    [Pressing console sounds]

[Time Rotor sounds...warped to sound faulty. Maybe sparks or explosions]

    DOCTOR

    Come on! Come on!

    NARRATOR

The TARDIS groans again. Bang, smash! Sparks fly from the TARDIS console as the Time

Rotor comes to a complete and dead stop. The Doctor presses the button to stop the engine

and looks towards the doors. He ponders, thinks, and wonders what the planet has in store

    for him

    INT. TARDIS CORRIDORS, DAY THREE

    NARRATOR

Day Three. The Doctor , after the scanner fails him time and time again, starts his search. He

wanders down the orange, dimly lit corridors of the TARDIS searching for Alicia.. The

corridor he wanders through is flickering, the multiple lights fading in and out exceptionally

    slowly.

    DOCTOR

Just my luck. TARDIS scanners offline, lighting power is on the blink, who knows what else

is about to giveabsolute epic fail (He looks around) I should think before I recitehuman catchphrases

    [Murmurs, whispers]

In, and out, in and out.

[Sounds of a clock and water drops]

    Tick tock, drip drop

The Doctor perks his ears up at the noise.

    Tick tock, drip drop.

    5/22

In and out, in and out.

    NARRATOR

Eventually, the lights of that section fade away completely. The Doctor looks around, trying

to find the previous section that had light in it to move his way back to the control room. There was one quite a walk away from where he had just come from.

Cautiously, the Doctor begins to move his way towards the corridor, taking out his Sonic

Screwdriver and using the emitted green beam as a light source to guide his way. However,

when he activates the Sonic Screwdriver, the corridor is suddenly even further away than he

thinks it is. Was it the dark playing tricks on his eyes? Was it an optical illusion? He turns the

Screwdriver off and turns back around, when he moves back towards the corridor it is closer

to him again. Turning the Screwdriver on again, it was further away.

    DOCTOR

    I better be careful

    NARRATOR

Nevertheless, the Doctor started walking towards the corridor slowly. The corridor keeps

getting further.and furtherand further awaythe Doctor eventually breaks into a run,

and it keeps getting further. Suddenly, it looks as if there was nothing but pitch black behind

him and the Doctor heard an odd noiseit sounded like whirringas if something was

moving towards him. He could feel it getting rather close to him, until he whips the

Screwdriver and all the light seems to reveal is the all too familiar eyestalk and a white round

    saucer for a head

    DALEK

    EXTERMINATE!

    NARRATOR

The Doctor recoils in panic as he notices the Dalek. He tries to run, but the corridor keeps

moving further and further away from him. Eventually, he trips over something and drops his

screwdriver, leaving him entirely in the dark It just lugs towards him, death ray at the

    ready, until

    [Dalek Death Ray sound]

    INT. TARDIS CORRIDORS, DAY THREE

    NARRATOR

He seems to wake up as if from a bad dream. He was in the exact same corridor, but it was

brightly lit again. The Doctor gets up and proceeds to the console room. He peers at the

    console, deep in thought.

    DOCTOR

How did the Daleks get aboard the TARDIS? More to the point, what are they doing on

Calugenia? no, think logically Doctor, you mustve inhaled some of the atmosphere on the

planet, so you may going a bit loopy-loop and may just simply be hallucinating. Your main

concern is finding Alicia. Finding Alicia, yes

    [Loud sounds]

    KNOCK KNOCK, CRASH CRASH!

    DOCTOR

All in your head, all in your head...

    KNOCK KNOCK, CRASH CRASH!

    NARRATOR

The Doctor jumps in alarm at the sounds and pinpoints the noise as coming from outside the

TARDIS. The police box doors were almost threatening to buckle at the intense force beingpounded on them. Immediately finding a desperate solution, the Doctor yet again covered his

mouth with his jacket and opened the doors to find.

    EXT. DESERT PLANET, DAY THREE

    [Desert sounds]

    NARRATOR

Nothing but endless sands. The Doctor steps out of the TARDIS and takes a quick look

    around.

    DOCTOR

Not as if anyone on this planet is keen to play knock and runsomething is definitely

    wrong here

INT. TARDIS CONTROL ROOM, DAY SIX

    NARRATOR

Day Six of the Storm. The Doctor moves towards the console trying to examine the inner

    workings.

    DOCTOR

(sounds clearly unnerved, nevertheless nonchalant) Dimensional stabilizers at 24.57

percent the Vortex Loop is non functional. Atom Accelerator spinning topsy turvy. Spent

about three days fixing this to no avail! Theres no civilisation visible whatsoever beyond

our location. Six days into the storm, and its intensifiedwow, I'm a genius, I shall treat

    myself to fish and chips.

The doors of the TARDIS are banged upon once again, but with far less force this time.

    DOCTOR

    N-nonot falling for that again.

    KILARA

Hello?! Is there a man in there?! Please let me in!

    NARRATOR

The Doctor then takes that as his cue to leap into action, Sonic Screwdriver at the ready . He

hurries quickly to open the TARDIS door and a figure who resembles a nineteen year oldfemale humanoid, in a spacesuit with an oxygen tank, bursts into the TARDIS as the Doctor

    shuts the doors.

    (Thud)

    DOCTOR

    Sorry! Are you alright?

    NARRATOR

The female takes her helmet off from behind to reveal an appearance similar to Alicia's, from

behind, almost humanoid appearance, sharing her hair, her height, and her posture.

    DOCTOR

    Alicia?

    NARRATOR

She then turns around to reveal a crystal-skinned alien, her skin glistening and even more so

in the TARDIS lighting. Her hands resemble smooth carpets with lines trimmed through them

rather than palms and fingers. She looks up at the Doctor, and then turns in amazement. Her

face, although while crystallised, bears a strong resemblance to Alicia. She has a strange

bottle of a gas on her belt.

    KILARA

Do I look like your girlfriend?

    DOCTOR

Ahobviously notand shes not my girlfriendsorry.

    KILARA

Thank you so muchbutwho are youand...(looks at the TARDIS in shocked

    amazement)what is this place?

DOCTORIm the Doctor. And this is my ship, the TARDIS (concerned). Who are you?

    KILARA

Ohmy apologiesIm KilaraIm a Dlarchthis shipits bigger on the insideon the

    outside its just a box

    DOCTOR

Yes, Ive heard them all. So, the Dlarchthe species that like everything clean, smooth,

relaxed and calm, even though your atmosphere is so toxic its unbelievable. (smiles, more

optimistic) Its nice to see a friendly face like that.

    8/22

    KILARA

    Oh, you flatter me Doctor

    DOCTOR

But that leads to another questionwhat are you doing on a planet like this?

    KILARA

I am a part of the Dlarch Science Division. They were looking for another planet to colonise

after several visits from other species polluted our worldandwellyouve probably seen

    it.

    DOCTOR

    It? You mean the storms?

    KILARA

...Ohhow long have you been here?

    DOCTOR

    Not longabout six days

    KILARA

    Ahwell

    [Cloister Bell sounds]

    DOCTOR

What now old girl?! (he frantically presses buttons to find out the problem)

    KILARA

    What is that?

    DOCTOR

Its the Cloister Bell...it lets me know if theres something wrong in or with the TARDIS

    KILARA

    And what is wrong?

DOCTORIm not surecmon dear stop being so vague! Tell me whats the matter!

    NARRATOR

The screen just cracks and fizzles as it showed the TARDIS. All it shows is a strange, cube

white shape and marked something in red. The Doctor grabbed the screen and eyed it.

    DOCTOR

    Gotcha! In the library pool

    KILARA

    The what?

  • 8/9/2019 1.10 Thirty Days Part 1 (REVISED DRAFT)

    9/22

    DOCTOR

Oh, its a swimming pool in the library. It shifts around so often its hard to catch it.

    KILARA

    (Confused, yet intrigued) Isee.

    NARRATOR

The Doctor runs off into the upper levels of the TARDIS into another room. Before Kilara

follows him, she peers glaringly at the Time Rotor, more particularly, in the direction of the

Cloister Bell. She then walks to catch up with the Doctor, trailing her hand across the

console and flicking a switch when it makes a noise. She jumps, thinking shes done

something wrong, but calms down when nothing seems to happen.

As she leaves hurriedly, putting her sample of gas on the console, two pink, misty, glowing

figures stare at the console as the cloister bell begins to rumble the bottle falls and the gas

seeps with a painful hissing sound.

    Tick tock, drip drop

INT. TARDIS LIBRARY POOL, DAY SIX, APPROACHING DAY SEVEN

    NARRATOR

It dawned on Day Seven of the storm outside on the planet's surface. Meanwhile, in the

TARDIS, the Doctor and Kilara run towards the giant library with the ocean like-swimming

pool in the middle. It is quiet in the library, an uncomfortable silence for Kilara's taste. And

    digesting the impossible combination.

    KILARA

How do these two things possibly mesh together?

    DOCTOR

Never wanted a little bit of relaxation while you read? Sofa isnt a bit boring for you?

    KILARA

    (confused) What..?

    DOCTOR

Nevermindnow, to find what the Cloister Bell was warning about

    NARRATOR

The Doctor goes over to what appears to be a metal door in the library and digs out his Sonic

    Screwdriver.

    KILARA

    And what is that?

    DOCTOR

    Its a Sonic Screwdriver.

    KILARAAnd what does it do?

  • 8/9/2019 1.10 Thirty Days Part 1 (REVISED DRAFT)

    10/22

    DOCTOR

Lots of stuff. even open any doors! Like this metal door right here.

NARRATORThe Doctor uses the Sonic Screwdriver while Kilara just stares obliviously. He then goes to

open the door. Kilara realises what the Doctor just said and speaks.

    KILARA

Wait, did you just say metal? Doctor thats-

    [Thud]

    KILARA

    .wood.

NARRATORThe Doctor then gets up and knocks on the seemingly invisible door; it was clearly a wood

surface his fist was touching. He waves his hand through the metal door that hed just

opened, he felt a wood like surface. He runs his screwdriver over it.

    DOCTOR

Hm. Illusion, hallucination? Or quite possibly a perception filter?

    KILARA

    Why didnt it work?

    DOCTOR

Somethings visually deceived me into thinking that was a metal door. When it was really a

wood one. Which the Sonic Screwdriver doesnt do.

    KILARA

I thought you said it can open any door?

    DOCTOR

    YeahI lied. Sorry.

    KILARARight

    DOCTOR

Right then! No key, time to do things the old fashioned way.

    NARRATOR

The Doctor takes a run up, and shoulder barges the door, causing it to swing open to come

face to face with two magneta coloured, misty, shrouded aliens. Theyre faceless, almost

emotionless with bright glowing heads and slimy, slithering and spasming bodies, as they

    stare at the Doctor.

Oh hello! Who are you then?

    ALIEN 1

    ALIEN 1

    DOCTOR

Oh, cryptic riddles and what do you call yourselves then?

    KILARA

Doctor, Ive seen those things before

    DOCTOR

    What are they?

    KILARA

My people simply called them Calcs. Nothing much else is known about them

    DOCTOR

    KILARA

    Precisely

    ALIEN 1

The big bad bogeyman on the dead planet

    ALIEN 1 AND ALIEN 2

    .with all his scary friends

    NARRATOR

The Calcs disappear in a shroud of smoke. The Doctor and Kilara gaze in utter bemusement.

Well...that was weirdalien twins who can finish each others sentences

    KILARA

    So what now?

    DOCTOR

We wait until they show up again. No matter how long that may take

    [Alicia's whimpering]

    DOCTOR

    Alicia?!

    KILARA

It sounded like it was coming from that door over there!

    NARRATOR

The Doctor shoulder rushes the door again, not taking any chances. He was expecting to find

Alicia there, instead, he finds a rusted, decomposing and rusting Cyberman standing there.

    DOCTOR

Oh, hello! I believe this isnt the right time to say-

    CYBERMAN

    Delete!

    NARRATOR

The Doctor quickly slams the door. He then mulls for a moment. He then reopens the door to

findno one there. Both relieved and disappointed, he enters the room to search for Alicia

Kilara follows him; both unaware what surprises will befall them in the TARDIS

INT. TARDIS CONSOLE ROOM, DAY TEN

    [Tick tock, drip drop]

    [Tick tock, drip drop]

[Sounds of laser blasts and sparks]

    NARRATOR

Day Ten of the Storm. The Doctor and Kilara are running for their lives. The same rusted

Cyberman is stomping after them uttering its chilling catchphrase. Alicia is nowhere to be

    found.

    CYBERMANDelete!

    DOCTOR

This isnt real...this isnt realthis isnt real.

    KILARA

If this isnt real then how come weve spent three days playing hide and seek with this

    Cyberman?!

    DOCTOR

You know I was there at the very first game of hide and seek. Was told I was a bit far too old

    though. (sniffs) Whats that smell?!

    NARRATOR

The Doctor had picked up the smell of the gas.

    KILARA

    That doesnt matter right now!

    NARRATOR

They run past the Cloister Bell as it starts smoking and oozing strange green liquid. Neitherof them notice because they are too busy running. Theyre stopped by blue laser fire

preventing them frommoving any further and turn to face the Cyberman.

    CYBERMAN

    DeleteDelete!

    KILARA

Cant we just keep trying to take our minds off it and it will go?!

    DOCTOR

You feel like thinking when your hearts are pounding a mile a minute?!

  • 8/9/2019 1.10 Thirty Days Part 1 (REVISED DRAFT)

    14/22

    KILARA

    Good point!

    NARRATOR

The Cyberman activates his wrist gun and opens fire on the Doctor and Kilara. They take

cover behind the TARDIS Console as bits of it start coming apart due to the gunfire, wiringstarts becoming exposed and sparks start flying. The Doctor and Kilara start looking around

for a solution. Eventually, they both see the bronze plaque on the side of the console is

coming off. The Doctor and Kilara look at it.

    DOCTOR

Right, on the count of three, you distract the Cyberman, Ill throw the plaque at it to knock it

    out.

    KILARA

Certainly Doctor! Ill go and distract this metal creature thats terrorising us that were not

even sure is real and give myself a heart attack in the process! Lovely!

    DOCTOR

Try a double heart attack. Its not good.

    NARRATOR

The Doctor runs for the plaque as Kilara stands up, waving her arms around madly and

dodging Cyberman fire. Although because of the room being limited around the console, she

finds herself bending backwards and forwards to avoid Cyberman fire. Eventually, the Doctor

uses his screwdriver to unscrew the plaque using the Sonic Screwdriver, taking it off; he then

swings his arm back to throw the plague.

    DOCTOR

    Delete this!

    NARRATOR

He throws the plague at the Cyberman. Surprisingly, it falls down immediately down the

stairs to the lower level. When the Doctor and Kilara, inching towards it, blink, it disappears

as if it were never there. But not before shooting one last shot which the Doctor and Kilara

avoid.and it hits the bottom of the TARDIS Console, giving the finishing blow and it shuts

    down, flaming up.

    [Fire sounds] DOCTOR

    No, no, no, no NO!!!

    s.

    NARRATOR

The flames soon disappeared, but the damage was real. They then turn to find the TARDIS

console, utterly wrecked and destroyed. Smoking, wires exposed, the screen is still

functional, but only just barely. The Time Rotors shelter is cracked. The Doctor

runs over to the console as the console rooms lights dim. The power of the TARDIS is dying.

    DOCTOR

    ..No, no

    NARRATOR

He rushes down to the lower level to search for something. He eyes the power cells barelyflickering. The Doctor then shook his head and casually walked upstairs, hanging his head.

    DOCTOR

(solemn) The TARDIS is damagedbarely any power is coming from it

    KILARA

Are you sure? This could easily be a hallucination too

    DOCTOR

Wouldnt it have disappeared when the Cyberman did?

    KILARA

    True.

    The Doctor starts coughing.

    KILARA

    Doctor, are you okay?

    DOCTOR

    Yeahjust feel kind of sleepy

    KILARA

Try to stay awake. We need to figure out whats happening here

INT. TARDIS CONSOLE ROOM, DAY TWELVE

    NARRATOR

The Doctor and Kilara are sitting at the console room musing over what to do and hopelessly

stare at each other. The TARDIS faint, flickering humming is the only real sound in the

    room until the Doctor speaks.

    DOCTOR

(shivering, growing more uneasy than the previous few days) Weve been here for almost twoweeks, well, Ive been here with you for about a week and you havent told me much about

    yourself Kilara

    KILARA

Ive told you more about me other than my favourite...

    DOCTOR

-that's all I need to know.

    KILARA

Tell me...why do they call you Doctor?

  • 8/9/2019 1.10 Thirty Days Part 1 (REVISED DRAFT)

    DOCTOR

(Somewhat more calm now) Why do they call you Kilara?

    KILARA

    ...Thats my name

    DOCTOR

    And Doctor is my name.

    KILARA

No its not. Its a title.

    DOCTOR

You mentioned something several days ago about anIt. What did you mean by that?

    KILARA

The object or essence controlling this planet. The person behind it even.

    DOCTOR

Those are three different types of being. Pick one.

    KILARA

Thats the idea. No one knows. All they know is its sentinent and its scared. All they hear is a

    voice and a roar.

    DOCTOR

The Big Bogeyman on the Dead Planet Is Afraid of the Dark I never like not knowing.

    KILARA

Are you familiar with the fairytale behind that saying? What do you make of it?

    DOCTOR

Yes. Although... the last time I doubted a fairytale, I got trapped in a box.not a lot of leg

    room.

    KILARA

(reserved) Yes...some nave, brave young people came to this planet. And they came off of it

cynical, broken men and women. They never saw the being within this planet. Well, andremained sane. To gaze upon him is to go mad

    DOCTOR

What makes you think its a him? They said it could be her, or as you said, it

    KILARA

    That is true

    DOCTOR

This just seems too similar to another instanceI dont know why

    KILARA

  • 8/9/2019 1.10 Thirty Days Part 1 (REVISED DRAFT)

Ive had one encounters with space pollenonce that induced a dream-like state. Of course,

there was also the time I was stuck in an alien computer program. It, well, allowed me to

question my perception of reality. The pollen incident I'd dreamt about dyingbut here, Icant tell what is real, and what isnt

    KILARA

And youre trying to judge whats real and whats not and this instance

    DOCTOR

    Exactly

    KILARA

There are actually several stages and events during this storm cycle

    DOCTOR

    Oh?

    KILARA

Firstly, the eighth and ninth days have an obscenely high temperature that affects the brain.

On the thirteenth day there is also rain that compromises almost entirely of a few different

kinds of acids. Mostly diethylamide, lysergic acid, phosphoryl chloride that lasts well into the

fourteenth day. There is also a serious storm on the Twenty-First Day.

    NARRATOR

The Doctor seems to suddenly fall into a deep sleep.

    KILARA

    Doctor? .DOCTOR?!

But he cant hear her. He drifts into a deep sleep.

[FLASHBACK OF 1.7 BOREALIS - Or future continuity reference -]

    NARRATOR

The Doctor and Alicia are standing alone on an unsuaul space station. The Doctor feels

unrecognisable, did he regenerate? Did something happen to him? All he knew was he stood

before Alicia accusingly. However, there are some quite noticeable irregularities. Whatshould be human technology has been replaced with TARDIS components. What was once

human technology is now Gallifreyan technology. It is rather subtle in the changes. Coolant

pipes had simply been replaced with green TARDIS fluid links. Theres a sudden sporadic

use of clocks both digital and analogue everywhere and there is a green figure observing on

    the table.

    TWELFTH DOCTOR

Have you stopped to consider that maybe I need to go there? That it needs to happen?

    ALICIA

What? Why? What possible reason could you use to justify murder?

    TWELFTH DOCTOR

I still don't know. But I find it difficult to believe it will be due to a mistake on my part.

    ALICIA

I can't believe you're saying this. He was a good man.

    TWELFTH DOCTOR

So you recall. Hardly an unbiased opinion.

    ALICIA

ARGH, this is giving me a headache. You're impossible.

    TWELFTH DOCTOR

    I've heard.

    ALICIA

    ... that coolant

    TWELFTH DOCTOR

    Mm?

    ALICIA

What if... something on the planet wants it and us kept here? They attack the ship to try and

    reclaim it?

    KILARA

Or to find someone theyre looking for

    TWELFTH DOCTOR

    Possible. Hm Very possible.

    ALICIA

Do you recognize it? You usually know every little detail about everything...

    TWELFTH DOCTOR

No. Never seen one before. Doesn't look particularly threatening though. No toxins, no

additives or otherwise deadly implications. No obvious valuable substance. Just looks like

    coolant to me.

The Pink light aliens peek around the corner to watch

    ALICIA

We're not going to have forever to figure this out.

    DOCTOR

Quite. But don't worry. I think I have it all worked out.

    ALICIA

    What? What is it?

  • 8/9/2019 1.10 Thirty Days Part 1 (REVISED DRAFT)

    19/22

    TWELFTH DOCTOR

    It's you.

    ALICIA

    It's what?

    TWELFTH DOCTOR

    It's all you. Your...head.

    ALICIA

    H...huh!? Stay away from me!

    NARRATOR

The Doctor bleeps his Sonic Screwdriver towards Alicia. Kilara was watching in the distancehowever, strangely enough

    TWELFTH DOCTOR

Don't worry. This will only hurt for a second.

    P.O.V TWELFTH DOCTOR

    NARRATOR

Alicia lays on an operating table. No injuries or incision scars are there, but she remains

motionless, not breathing. As the Doctor peers over. Not a sound. Then

    Tick tock

    Drip drop

    Tick tock

    Drip drop.

Just then, her image begins to rapidly turn into Kilara as she leaps up and screams at him,

forcing the Doctor to wake up

    [FLASHBACK OF 1.7 - BOREALIS]

INT. TARDIS CONSOLE ROOM, DAY TWELVE

The Doctor suddenly wakes up back in the console room with a cold sweat to Kilara moving

her hand over him. In a very strange way.

    KILARA

Doctor!! Are you alright?! (is shaking him)

    DOCTOR

    That...is a disturbing prospect..(Opens his eyes slowly)

    KILARA

    20/22

    DOCTOR!

    DOCTOR

    What? Five more minutes.

    KILARA

    You were unconscious

    DOCTOR

    Ah.

    [Bleeping]

    NARRATOR

The TARDIS screen indicates something faintly, with static surrounding it. The Doctor and

    Kilara investigate

    KILARA

Whats that? *looks at the screen*its found my ship!! Incredible.

    DOCTOR

    Your ship?

    KILARA

The ship my science team had used to get here

    DOCTOR

    And what, its crashed nearby?

    KILARA

YesI can program this thing to take us to itat least, maybe I can try..

    DOCTOR

The TARDIS? But what can you do now with a console that damaged? And I dont think any

    Dlarch can pilot the TARDIS

NARRATORKilara moves over to the TARDIS controls and presses a few buttons that arent broken to

initiate a dematerialisation sequence. Surprisingly, it works extremely well for a few

moments.then it grinds and comes to a complete stop again. The console then sparks

knocking Kilara back a bit. The Doctor helps her up and looks towards the console.

    KILARA

    What happened?

    DOCTOR

    Felt like a time anchor

    KILARA

    21/22

    A what?

    DOCTOR

(while checking the TARDIS screen thats fizziling, and date) Where a TARDIS can travel

backwards or forwards in time, but theyre stuck in the exact same spot in the exact sameconditions. Weve jumped ahead three days, but were stuck in the exact same spot. How far

    is your ship from here?

    KILARA

Cant we just do that to pass the storm?

    DOCTOR

    We can try

    NARRATOR

The Doctor tries to start the TARDIS up again, but it grinds horribly and doesnt move at all.It sparks as the Doctor coughs from the smoke eruptbut somethings different about this

    smoke

    DOCTOR

(Cough, cough) Apparently somethings lodged itself in there now. But how did that suddenly

    make it not move?

    KILARA

    I dont know.

    DOCTOR

How far is your ship from here?

    KILARA

About forty kilometres awayand before you get out there, I can synthesise another oxygen

tank suit with the materials of my own if you want.

    DOCTOR

Id appreciate thatbut one question, how did you know how to pilot the TARDIS like that?

Especially since it was damaged? And why is there suddenly something lodged in there?

KILARAI just did whatever came naturally. I have some tech knowledge. Call it a pilot's instinct.

    NARRATOR

Kilara gets to work on the materials she needs to create another suit for the Doctor, who

clearly isnt convinced by her statement, a part of her space suit, which immediately grows

back after being torn away, and her oxygen tank. She moves into another room of the

TARDIS, the Doctor following her. As they leave, something falls from the upper level of the

TARDIS and rolls down the stairs to the lower levelits a Sontaran gun. The Cloister Bell

also begins to ooze a rather strange liquid

    22/22

    EXT. DESERT PLANET, DAY FIFTEEN

NARRATORThe TARDIS arrives on Day Fifteen of the Storm. The Doctor and Kilara endure a short, yet

agonising walk to find a heavily wrecked ship. Strangely, some computers are still running,

even if theyre heavily damaged. Both of them are dressed in silver spacesuits like Kilaras.

One computer appears to be a databank with broken streams of data. There are also several

stasis pods present, several electrical cells with components inside of them. However,

compared to the tech of the twenty fifth century, the ship looks incredibly primitive.

    DOCTOR

This ship must not be top of the line; the equipment here looks at least one hundred years

    old

    KILARA

Our division wasnt exactly the first priority when it came to funding

    DOCTOR

So much so you use century old equipment? (He clearly doesnt sound convinced)

    KILARA

The Dlarch are a very conservative culture. Theyd use equipment from a thousand years ago

if they have to. Oh, mind those tubes in the corridor. Theyre for data transfer.

    NARRATOR

The Doctor and Kilara move around the ship, the Doctor avoiding the tubes as she instructs.

The Doctor goes past a very familiar room that he fails to noticeit looks almost exactly like

Alicias bedroom when she was a child. He then examines the cells.

One cell contains dismantled Dalek parts, another one contains a Cyberman Cybus logo, the

next one a Sontaran gun, and the final one contains something that moves him terribly. A

    terrible, heart wrenching object.

    DOCTOR

    My god...

    KILARA

    What...?

    NARRATOR

Its his blue bowtie, similar to the one he's wearing, covered in soot and rubble. Alongside it

are torn shreds of his tweed jacket....The Doctor looks on, concerned.
