Our workshops will be focusing on disease specific case studies including the decision making processes in palliative care critically ill patients,

COPD, Rheumatology, sexual health and minor injuries/illness/OOH. We will also be discussing Polypharmacy drug reactions, Medication errors

and the safety aspect of prescribing, plus new developments V150 Paediatrics and Standards

COPD – Helen Meynell, Consultant Pharmacist with an interest in Respiratory Medicine Aims: To describe the pharmacological management of a patient with COPD in the community setting. To discuss the factors that influences the prescribing decisions for patients with COPD

Rheumatology – Sue Oliver, Nurse Consultant Rheumatological disorders. The role of analgesics and nonsteroidal anti-Inflammatory drugs, Description of the role of steroids, disease modifying drugs and biologic therapies, Describe the use of adjuvant drugs  in rheumatology practice and the impact of co-morbidity and poly pharmacy

Bookings can be reserved over the telephone. The Association reserves the right to change the conference programme due to unforeseen circumstances. The Association does not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to delegates personal property and or personal effects caused by events beyond its control, including fire, flood, strikes, civil disturbances or for consequential loss or damage of any kind whatsoever If a delegate is unable to attend a substitute may take his or her place. CANCELLATIONS OF BOOKING

Payment or any booking received within 3 weeks of the conference, will still be due to the Association irrespective of whether the delegate attends. Written cancellations received 3 weeks prior to the conference, will receive a 75% refund.
