Field name Description Name Official published name or official name of the Order to which it belongs. Promoting body The organisation that makes the official announcement. Managing organisation The managing organisation of the measure. Description This field gives a brief description of the instrument and the programme from

which it stems. Source (sphere) of the funds

Source of the funds to which the programme in question belong to. The modes of classification are:

1 European 2 State 3 Regional 4 Local

Nature of the funds. The nature of the promoter organisation’s funds. To be classified as: 1 Public 2 Private 3 Mixed, referring to companies or other entities of a different nature.

Co-funding Yes/ No field that responds to whether the promoter organisation fully funds the programme or instrument or, if appropriate, whether the funds provided by this party are complemented with funds from one or more other organisations.

Degree of co-funding Open numerical field (%) to fill in the degree of project co-funding. Type of instrument Three Yes/ No fields for each kind of instrument have been created:

1 “Economic” 2 “Financial” 3 “Consultancy or technical support instruments”.

A further open field was prepared entitled “Other kinds of instruments”, to include those projects that do not fit in to any of the foregoing modes.

Category of instrument The modes included are: 1 “ Discounted credits/ loans”, 2 “Interest rate subsidy”, 3 “Tax or taxation instruments”, 4 “Aid or subsidies” 5 “Others”.

A Yes/ No field is included for each mode, given that more than one mode could be included within a single instrument. For the last mode (“Others”), we created an open field entitled “Specify others”, in which a brief description of the instruments included herein is given.

Budget Maximum amount of budget assigned to the instrument. In the case of projects over several years the amount of the last year is specified, if this data is broken down or, if only the blanket amount assigned to the multiannual programme is available, the “blanket amount/ number of years” ratio.

Deadline Last date for applications. In some cases of multiannual projects only the date corresponding to the year in course is given.

Commencement of official announcement

The year the instrument was created or the date of coming into force of the official announcement in question.

Number of official announcements

Number of official announcements from the creation or design of the instrument.

MAIN FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC INSTRUMENTS FOR

INNOVATION AND ECO-INNOVATION IN ANDALUSIA

Who is it for? Open field that specifies the target audience (companies, entrepreneurs, technological agents, etc.).

Identification of environmental objective(s)

Grading of identification of aid directly related to eco-innovation and environmental technologies in the instrument under consideration. The grading is: “High”, “Medium” or “Low”.

Target innovation process stage

To consider the process stage, the guide supplied by the party leader of the ECREIN project was used. This establishes the six classic stages of R&D&i:

1 “Basic research”, 2 “Applied research”, 3 “Experimentation”, 4 “Demonstration”, 5 “Development”, 6 “Exportation or introduction to the market” .

Lifecycle stage of companies at which they are targeted

A binary Yes/ No field has been used for each one of the modes, given that more than one mode could apply to a single instrument. These modes are:

1 “spin-offs”, 2 “entrepreneurs”, 3 “business nurseries”, 4 “SMEs”, 5 “private enterprises”, 6 “micro-companies”, 7 “self employed”, 8 “others”.

For the last mode (“Others”), we created an open field entitled “Specify others”, in which a brief description of the instruments included herein is given.

Environmental scope of the eco-innovations

The classification agreed between OCDE/ EUROSTAT in their SERIEE system manual and the CEPA Classification, 2000 has been used as the reference. To this end, Yes/ No fields have been created, given that more than one classification may apply to a single instrument. The modes are:

1 “Solid waste”, 2 “Waste water”, 3 “Air pollution”, 4 “Noise and vibrations”, 5 “Contaminated soils, surface waters and underground waters”, 6 “Analytical services, data capture and evaluation”, 7 “Environmental R&D”, 8 “Education, training and information”, 9 “Others”.

For the last mode (“Others”), we created an open field entitled “Specify others”, in which a brief description of the instruments included herein is given.

Type of eco-innovations promoted/supported

The classification of the typology under consideration has been designed through “The environmental employment in Andalusian industry” report, with the following Yes/ No fields:

1 “Introduction of end of line technologies”, 2 “Waste recycling and recuperation”, 3 “New products/ services or improvements to existing ones”, 4 “New integral processes or modifications to existing ones, 5 “Changes to the organisation”, 6 “New systems or distribution, transport and improvements”, 7 “Others”.

For the last mode (“Others”), we created an open field entitled “Specify others”, in which a brief description of the instruments included herein is given.

Observations Open field to include precise clarifications on those aspects and features of the instrument that may be of interest and which are not included in the previous fields.
