Call for AbstractsGIHep Singapore 2019 invites abstracts of original contribution for poster, oral or video presentations. The top abstracts for free paper will qualify for the Free Paper Oral Presentation while the top video presentations will qualify for the Video Case Presentation. The others, upon acceptance, will be put up for poster presentation.
Endoscopic Video Case SubmissionSubmission Deadline Monday, 31 May 2019
Guidelines1. Subject matter must be endoscopic in nature and pose a clinical challenge or demonstrate an
intriguing technique2. Files may be no more than 3 minutes in length and may include a narrative audio track that will
be used for review purposes, but will not be part of the live presentation3. Four videos will be selected. If chosen, you must be present to narrate your video during the
video forum. A two-minute panel discussion will follow each presentation4. An award will be presented to the top video
Submission 1. Submit your intention to submit a video case using the Video Submission Form, which can
be downloaded from the event website, and email to our Conference Secretariat ([email protected])
2. Once received, you will receive further instructions on how to submit your video file
Oral/Poster Abstract SubmissionSubmission Deadline Monday, 30 April 2019
Abstracts submitted after the deadline will not be consideredRules for Submission1. All abstracts must be submitted using the Abstract Submission Form which can be downloaded
from the event website. All completed abstracts are to be emailed to our Conference Secretariat ([email protected]). Alternatively, you may save submit the completed form online
2. We regret that hardcopy and faxed abstracts will not be accepted3. All accepted abstracts may be included in the GIHep Singapore 2019 programme souvenir and
website. Therefore, submission of abstracts constitutes the authors’ consent for publication of abstracts
4. Please ensure the correctness of your abstract as it will be published as submitted; i.e. any error appearing in the submitted abstract will appear in the published book or website
5. All presenting authors must register for the conference
Submission and Notification1. All abstracts submitted will be acknowledged through email within 3 working days upon
receipt. Please contact the Conference Secretariat if you do not receive the acknowledgement email
2. All abstracts will be evaluated against Originality, Study Design, Study Quality, Statistical Methods, Ethical Issues, Content and Importance/Relevance
3. The Judges decisions are final4. The organizing committee reserves the right to make changes to all oral and poster presentation
schedules5. Presenting authors will receive an email notification on abstract acceptance or rejection by 31
May 2019
Registration Notes1. Your registration will only be confirmed upon
receiving your payment. An official receipt will be sent to you within 10 working days upon receiving your payment.
2. Pre-registration closes on 26 June 2019. Submissions received after this date will be considered as on-site registration.
Cancellation Policy1. Request for cancellation/replacement
must be made in writing to the Conference Secretariat, latest by 10 June 2019. The organising committee regrets that requests received after this date will not be entertained.
2. Please take note that refunds (less 20% for administrative charges) will be issued after the event.
