‘So do not fear for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will

uphold you with my righteous right hand’ Isaiah 41 v 10

Take time in prayer to discover again the promises God makes in His living word. Ask Him to plant them deep

within us, so that, no matter what is happening to us, our loved ones, our country, our world, we have the peace that only He can give. ‘Let him who walks in darkness, who has no light, trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God’. Isaiah 50 v 10

In a time of political turmoil and uncertainty, pray that the nation’s leaders will have total integrity and Godly

wisdom. They may not seek these things, but as God’s people, we have a duty to pray for them and the greater good of the nation.

Many in our church family have problems which seem like mountains. Ask God today to help them to be aware

of His Presence with them, so that the mountains of ill health, grief or loneliness, financial worries and fear for the future, may be levelled to a path they can walk, held firm in His grip.

Give thanks for all that is done in every organisation meeting to help children and adults to know more about

God and to find friendship and fellowship. In the weeks coming up to Easter, pray especially that there will be opportunities to share the faith with those who do not know Jesus yet. Pray that, before things close down for the summer, there will be encouragements and rejoicing as older and younger respond to the Lord.

Pray that we will have courage not to live as defeated people - Christians limping along at the edge of society.

Pray to be the salt and light that Jesus calls us to be, in a dark and broken world. Though ‘the world’ may reject us, its individuals are without hope and assurance and the need to bring God’s love in Christ to them is needed more than ever.

Give praise and thanks for the many acts of kindness and encouragements shown in this place as people live out

their faith. Give thanks for the things we see, hear and benefit from but which have taken hours of faithful preparation. Give thanks for the ‘behind the scenes’ work which continues in many forms. Ask that all that is done is done to God’s glory alone, to draw people to Him. As He continues to bless us in so many ways, may our response be grateful, enthusiastic praise and dedication.
