The film is applied to the leading edge slat on the wing and restructures the flow of air over the wing, creating a highly stable layer of vortices that increase the amount of attached flow. As a result, the CVG reduces the amount of drag the aircraft experiences leading to better aircraft performance, significant fuel savings and reduction in carbon emissions. The presentation focuses on key tests on a B737 and the recently completed FAA certification - you will also learn about future developments such as tests beginning on an A340-600. Capt. Peter Ireland, Director Operations, Edge Aerodynamix Ltd.
