It provides a complete solution to the physical layer interface in a SONET/SDH transport system including an optical-to-electrical conversion, clock recovery, de- serialization, serialization, and electrical-to-optical conversion. The transmitter wavelength is available in ITU-T wavelength grid (100 GHz channel spacing) for DWDM application. The microprocessor on the transceiver allows users full access to control and monitoring function.
