Welcome to Del Ray--the best neighborhood in Alexandria! It is hard to decide on just a few key things to talk about that made this home such a pleasure to live in--but we’ll try. For us, it’s boils down to three things: the gourmet kitchen, fenced yard and two-story, two-car garage, and the location/neighborhood.

The kitchen is a cook’s dream--the beautiful custom soapstone and carrera mar-ble countertops, the multiple cabinets, stove-side pot filler, and commercial mixer shelf--it just doesn’t get any better than this. This is a kitchen designed for cooking and good times.

The huge garage and fenced back yard are the envy of the neighborhood. We have loved having a place to park our cars indoors, while the second floor open area is a real luxury. Most importantly, the fenced back yard provided a place for kids and pets to safely play.

But the part that makes his house more than four walls and a roof is the great loca-tion.The short inside the beltway commute gave us more quality time together as a family. Time to walk the dog. Time to stroll over to Mount Vernon Avenue for coffee or a great meal. Time to walk to the metro to go shopping, sight seeing or to the theater. Time to just sit on the deck and enjoy each others company.

Leaving Alexandria and this house makes us sad, but we feel certain it will be a happy home for you, too!
