The final mission accomplishments are in for the 108th.We conducted 120 missions and traveled over 500,000miles. We pumped approximately 1.9 million gallons offuel at 3 different locations. The 108th held anOrganizational Day on 6 August with lots of games andtons of food. 1stPlatoon lived up to their motto AlwaysFirst, by winning 5 of the 6 events. It was a HUGEsuccess, thanks to the hard work of SSG Wirfs andothers.

The 108th is in the final days of our deployment. Weremind you to observe Operational Security (OPSEC).Do NOT be freely discussing or posting dates, times, etcon Facebook or other sources. This can and will causeflights to be canceled, therefore delaying the return ofyour Soldier!

We have included a map to the Post Field House onPage 9, for those who are unfamiliar with Fort Lee andattending our Welcome Home Ceremony.

Rough Rider Family, we have almost come tothe end of our deployment. This will be the lastnewsletter of our deployment and of myCommand of the 108th. Our Soldiers have donesome great things this deployment. We droveover 500,000 miles and pumped around 1.9

million gallons of fuel. We have had numerous promotionsacross all ranks. The 108th had a clean sweep of the BattalionSoldier of the month 6 months in a row. We also hadextraordinary improvement in our PT and height/weight stats.I am extremely proud to have served with and for the Soldiersof the 108th Quartermaster Company. We look forward to ourreturn home, and I hope to see everyone at the Post FieldHouse supporting the 108th and our outstanding logisticwarriors.

Hello Rough Rider family, the day is almosthere when you will see your loved ones again;you can thank them for all of their sacrifice anddedication to our Nation. They have endured 8months of continuous operations and mostimportant, separation from the ones they care

about most. You should be proud of your Soldiers, they aretruly professional in every way and I can truly say it was an

honor to have shared this journey with them. I encourage youto make up for the lost time, enjoy each other, and spend asmuch quality time together. I dont know what the futureholds for me, I can say I have enjoyed ever moment of beingthe First Sergeant of this great Organization. Without a doubtthe Soldiers and their families in the 108th made this the bestunit I have ever had the honor as serving as a First Sergeant. Iwill truly miss all the support and dedication from all, thankyou from the bottom of my heart.
