We giVe thankS to you, o god, We giVe thankS! For your WondrouS WorkS deClare that your naMe iS near.”–the bible, Psalm 75:1

EThIOPIA Since the end of Communist rule

in 1991, the Church in Ethiopia has grown

explosively. And that growth is continuing.

According to Every Home for Christ, more

than 10,000 Ethiopians “recently heard the

Gospel for the first time” and hundreds “gave

their hearts to Jesus.” Give thanks to God for

this and pray for the Church in

Ethiopia to continue growing.

Pray for the Lord to protect

Christians, encourage them, and

give them the boldness they

need to share their faith.

AlgERIA Once labeled terrorists

and traitors, Christians in Algeria are finally

beginning to be recognized officially by the

government. In July 2011, the Ministry of the

Interior approved the Protestant Church of

Algeria. So far, 22 churches have affiliated

themselves with this organization. Praise

the Lord for this incredible development.

Pray for the safety of Christians in Algeria

and ask the Lord to provide them with

opportunities to proclaim the Gospel.

INDONESIA The Lord is stirring the hearts

of Christians in Indonesia. He is at work

raising up laborers to reach this nation

with the Gospel. Give thanks to

God for this. Pray for Christians

to be trained and sent out

into the harvest field. Ask the

Lord to move powerfully in

Indonesia, tearing down Islamic

strongholds and setting free

all who have been deceived by

this false religion. Pray for a great spiritual

awakening in Indonesia in which men,

women, and children put their faith in Jesus

Christ as Savior and Lord.

The Lord’s name is very near, as the following

praise reports testify.

ccording to “Operation World,” there may have

been only four Christians in Mongolia in 1989. “Today, there are over 40,000 believers in hundreds of churches and groups, meeting in most parts of the country.”

Many of the people practice Buddhism and shamanism. Even the youth are turning to witch doctors to find relief from poverty and disease. According to Joshua Project, 19 of the nation’s 22 people groups are still unreached.

Some language scholars believe the name of this nation was derived from two words: monghe (eternal) and gal (fire). Taken together, Mongolia seems to mean “eternal fire.” Perhaps this is prophetic. The growth of the church since 1989 has certainly been dramatic. “Less than one generation old,” writes Jason Mandryk, “[the church] already sends out missionaries….”

Let’s pray for the Lord to transform Mongolia into a land known for being filled with His light and life.

The spirit of the Lord gOD is upon me, because the LORD hasanointed me to preach good tidings to the poor; he has sent me toheal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and theopening of the prison to those who are bound.” (The bible, Isaiah 61:1)

after traveling one hundred and eight hours by bus and taxi and after walking

for two days, crossing forty-four major bridges and several streams on foot, finally I am back to the family.

Difficult to [forget] leaches causing profuse bleeding and ulcers while walking up and down… in heavy rainfall. Another memory for His glory.

Perhaps these villages are the last places on this planet…. Since His creation until now nobody took the Gospel of grace and love of true Messiah to these unprivileged people there.

Surprisingly God enabled me to speak their dialect fluently and they heard the Gospel in their own language….

…The whole village confessed ‘glory to Lord Jesus’. Hallelujah!

To fulfill James 2:14-17, we took medical help and treated them free of cost, we had agricultural seeds also for them… and above all, the word of Salvation. Praise the Lord!

It is all because of your generous financial gifts that these remotest people on earth could hear Gospel.

Praise God!

That is the question being discussed all around the world after the death of Crown Prince Sultan from cancer. It is of special

concern to Muslims because Saudi Arabia is where Islam originated.

“Saudi Arabia, which dominates world oil markets and holds profound influence over Muslims through its guardianship of Islam’s holiest sits (Mecca and

Medina),” reports Reuters news service, “faces turbulence in its neighbours and a confrontation with regional rival Iran.”

The transition in leadership will affect conservative religious traditions and also impact the direction of the economy and the younger generation.

imagine laying your time, talents, hopes, dreams, and finances at the feet of jesus. Then imagine leaving them there – where they belong. imagine what that would look like in practical terms.

it would certainly look very different from the “gimme-gimme” attitude practiced by much of the world and would stand out dramatically from the selfishness and greed that drives most people. radical Christian living and giving would cause many people – even some Christians – to stop and stare.

if we dare to take up that challenge, the world will see the love of Christ illustrated through us. What an opportunity! and what an honor: to follow the example of our lord and savior by pouring ourselves out for his glory.

instead of simply imagining what radical Christian giving might look like, why don’t we try it and find out.

let’s start today – right now – by surrendering everything to the lord. and let’s ask him what he wants us to do with the resources he has entrusted to us.

There is a new movement afoot. or at least, there could be. if we choose to join in.

a Generosity Movement has been proposed by certain segments of the Body of Christ. it calls for a return to Biblical standards in terms of giving.

a MoveMenT like This Would involve:

Christians being good stewards of god’s resources

attentive obedience to god

an appreciation of and open- handedness with all that god has given us – including money, but also life, breath, relationships, time…

generosity as a fundamental part of what it means to be a disciple

all believers “excelling in” the privilege of giving

What is keeping the Generosity Movement from taking hold in the Church? “god blesses Christians with vast resources,” says dr. sas Conradie, coordinator of the resource Mobilization Working group (rMWg). “unfortunately, Christians are keeping the blessing for themselves instead of sharing it in god’s mission in the world. We need a movement of whole life disciples of jesus Christ who give and share freely, abundantly and joyfully the financial resources god has entrusted to them.”

The lord himself gave us a mission to perform (The Bible, Matthew 28:18-20). We know he has provided the resources, yet the job hasn’t been finished. Why? What impact would a Generosity Movement have on completing the great Commission?

at Window international network, we are seeking to reach the least-reached nations and people groups on planet earth. We do that by mobilizing prayer for the 10/40 Window and by raising up and equipping leaders inside this region who will effectively evangelize, plant churches, and disciple others.

It’s a big job. and that’s why we need your help.

join the generosity Movement today by investing the resources god has entrusted to you in his kingdom. Prayerfully consider giving generously to the work Win is doing in the final frontier of missions.

is it possible to hold a mini-global day of Prayer every day of the year? dr. Victor Choudhrie, a church planting leader in india, thinks so. Which is why he has issued a summons to the body of Christ to pray in harmony each morning and has even provided an outline to help make it happen.

1sT mINuTE Pray For the harVeSt. ask the lord to reach the unreached, seek and save the lost, and for the gospel to be preached in every nation, among every tribe, tongue, and people. Pray for the lord of the harvest to send workers into his harvest field.

2ND mINuTE Pray For the FieldS. ask the lord to open doors to closed nations, open hearts and minds, and remove the veil from the eyes of those in bondage to islam, hinduism, buddhism, and ethnic religions. Pray for tentmakers, undercover missionaries, and members of the underground Church to be protected and encouraged, to have opportunities to share the good news, and for their efforts to bring forth abundant fruit.

3RD mINuTE liSten. ask the lord to reveal his strategies and plans to pray for and evangelize the 10/40 Window. allow him to place a specific nation or people group on your heart. ask him to show you how to intercede on their behalf and to help you adopt a “watch and pray” attitude that will keep you open to his guidance throughout the day.

it’s an incredibly simple, yet potentially powerful way to finish the task (the bible, Matthew 24:14; 28:18-20; revelation 5:9). the question is: can we spare 180 seconds of our day to see god’s most passionate desire fulfilled?

3@6 invites believers the world over to spend 3 minutes praying for global evangelism at 6 a.m. every morning. Choudhrie’s suggestions for utilizing this time include the following:

Everyone knows the joy of receiving. When we are surprised by the generosity of another person, we react with a sense of delight and gratefulness. It is truly a blessing to receive.

But Jesus says it is even MORE of a blessing to give. Some people find this hard to believe. Unless we give gladly, without restrictions or expectations, even sacrificially, we can never know what Jesus meant.

Maybe we doubt Jesus. Perhaps we don’t know or understand what it is to be blessed by God.

“Does it mean financial prosperity, emotional stability, and physical well-being?” asks Robert Barth, associate dean at Oak Brook College. He suggests that while those might be external manifestations of God’s blessing, there is a deeper meaning. The word “blessed,”

he notes, is a relational word. “Being blessed involves blessings, but the true blessing is the ‘life-giving’ relationship with Jesus, the Christ.

“If you love someone and give them a gift,” Barth writes, “the relationship is the primary motivation. The gift is just a physical expression of your love and appreciation.” It strengthens the relationship.

When we give to the work of the Kingdom, we invest in our relationship with God. We financially express our love and appreciation to Him.

As Window International Network continues to mobilize prayer and raise up leaders in the 10/40 Window, we offer you an opportunity to know the blessing of God.

Please consider investing in WIN today. Jesus promises this will be a blessing and you will be partnering with us in reaching the unreached in the final frontier of missions.

By definition, a martyr is not only someone who is killed for their faith, but someone willing to be killed for their faith. All who are willing to die for Jesus Christ are martyrs.

Asif* is a member of this group. He is a pastor in a closed, Muslim nation who has risked his life to advance the Kingdom of God.

A few months ago, Asif baptized an imam (Islamic teacher). The imam was delighted to be set free from the bondage of Islam and gladly put his faith in Jesus Christ. However, others were not so happy.

Not long after this event, angry Muslims shot Asif. He escaped and was treated at a local hospital.

Next, Asif was kidnapped by the nephew of the imam who was baptized. More than 24 hours of torture followed. He finally managed to escape with a broken arm and a collection of cuts and bruises.

As Asif was in hiding, Muslims burned a Qur’an and planted it in his house. This is a familiar tactic

in his nation. Christians are often falsely accused of desecrating the Qur’an and are then assaulted, arrested, or sometimes even killed.

Today, Asif is separated from his family. He has no idea when or if he will see his wife and children again.

Jesus said, “Blessed are those who

are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (The Bible, Matthew 5:10). Asif and many other brave men and women in the 10/40 Window are truly blessed. They have chosen to suffer for the glory of Christ. Theirs is truly the kingdom of heaven.

bAhRAIN

“I don’t understand! What did we do?!”

We were playing a game of jump rope outside of my school when the police started attacking us!

My friends and I had decided that jumping rope would a fun break from studying. We were laughing as the rope swung faster and faster, and we took turns trying to hop over it. Suddenly the police arrived. We stopped our game to watch as they went into the school. Moments later, they came back out with a group of boys. The police said they were traitors and were pushing them along.

When I asked what was going on, one of the policemen hit me! Then the other policemen got out their clubs and began beating my friends!

We didn’t’ know if they just wanted us to get out of the way or were angry at us. That’s when I told them I didn’t understand and asked what we had done. But they didn’t’ answer. Instead, they told us to be quiet, shoved us into their police cars, and took us to the station.

At the police station, we were accused of rebelling against the Sunni government that runs our nation. They said that because we were Christians, we were troublemakers.

They were right about the first part. My friends and I are followers of Jesus Christ. But we were shocked that the police thought we were troublemakers! We were only jumping rope!

I began to get more and more scared. I wondered what would happen to us. Then I noticed that one of my friends was crying. I began to pray: “Jesus, we need help!” I remembered a verse from the Bible. In it, God says: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9). I shared this with my friend who was crying. We all began to pray and put our hope in God.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” [new king james Version]

ask your parents to help you memorize this verse. it is a wonderful promise to have in your mind and heart.

Hymie: Friends,

Raaheel’s story took

place in Bahrain. In

recent years, hundreds

of children in that nation

have been beaten and

thrown in jail. Sometimes

when children are arrested,

they are not allowed to talk to

their parents or a lawyer.

Let’s pray for the children of

Bahrain right now. Ask God to

be with the Christian children

and give them courage. Ask

Him to speak to the hearts of

those who don’t yet know Him

and draw them to Jesus. Pray

for the Gospel to be shared

with everyone in Bahrain.

Have you ever been afraid of something? Have you ever been in a scary situation? Joshua 1:9 is a wonderful verse to remember when you are afraid. It reads,

Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 15 minutes Total Time: 20 minutes

Preparation: In a small saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil. Once sugar is dissolved, add saffron and rosewater. You will have a syrup like texture. Remove from heat.

In a medium saucepan, melt butter on medium heat. Add flour slowly and mix with butter to make paste. Slowly add sugar syrup and blend together. Remove from heat.

Immediately, spread mixture into ramekins, or onto a serving plate. Allow to cool, and remove halva from ramekins or cut into small serving pieces.

4-6 saffron threads or 1/2 teaspoon ground saffron

2 sticks unsalted butter 1 cup all purpose flour

Ingredients: 1 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup rosewater

Halva is a favorite dessert in the Middle East. Served with coffee or tea, it is the perfect ending to any meal.
