    1/ Caca o powder or c arob powd er ~ for the c hoc olate flavor2/ Cac ao butter or coc onut oil ~ for the choc olate c onsistenc y

    3/ Some liquid swee tener like a ga ve or coconut nectar ~ to zap the natural bitterness

    And then, of c ourse you w ould b e c razy not to a lso include a p inc h of sea sa lt a nd somfresh vanilla in there too.

    With carob , you w ill likely not ne ed as muc h swe etene r, but I like to inc lude a b it o fc innamo n. It round s out the flavor of c arob rea lly nic ely, and c ac ao too for tha t ma tte

    An imp ortant piece to note is that the c ac ao b utter and c oc onut oil must be liquified indehydra tor. Alternatively, you c an me lt it by putting a me ta l bow l (filled with the butteroil) over a pot of hot water. As soo n a s it s liquid , you will mix in the other ingred ients.

    Onc e you b eg in, you a re in a rac e a ga inst time as the c hoc olates will harden a t roo mtem perature! Go od thing is, if you ta ke too long , you c an stic k your mix in the dehyd ra tand wa it for it to be c ome liquified aga in, even a lrea dy mixed up.

    A warning fo r ya: Choc olates will probably melt if you ship them. (I lea rned tha t the hawa y. Believe me . You c an t just throw som e c hoc olate in the ma il!) The rea son they w illme lt is be c ause c hoc olate is solid a t a bout room te mp or co lder and me lts ab ove that

    I have had wa y too m uch c offee in my time and also regula rly took a p resc ribed med ic a -tion fo r ADHD c a lled Ritalin. It is a very strong stimulant. Between tho se two, I ha ve ta xedmy a drena l gland s quite a lot in the pa st. My ad rena l g lands have sinc e hea led quite alot , thanks to raw food , and absta ining from c offee a nd ALL me dic a tions. I still, howe ver,am sensitive to the e ffec ts of c ac ao o r any other stimulating food .

    *Add some c innamon to the rec ipe, and serve in a shortg lass with a c innamo n stick.

    *Add (raw !) c rea m to the top using a pa stry ba g, and puta c herry and d rizzled c hoc olate on top of the c rea m.

    BRZ NUS, SOK?Idea lly, Brazil nuts would b e soa ked for 8-12 hours and thenrinsed prior to use in any rec ipe. If you want to keep soa kednuts on ha nd so you re a lways rea dy, just keep in mind tha tthey should no t b e stored in the fridge for more tha n 3 days.

Two ve ry useful substitutions inc lude a 1-ga llon pa int strainer bag(which will look just like a nut m ilk bag) or cheesec loth. The goa l is simp ly to sep ara tethe pulp from the milk. You c an even do without a nd simp ly drink less smo oth milk!

    NU PUP - WH T O W Before you even think about wa sting the pulp , let me tell you a sec ret... you c an useit! Here is a simp le d ish to pull together: mix the pulp with some fresh he rbs, olive oil,sp ic es, just a touc h of som e kind of sweetene r, enough sa lt to pull the flavors together,then serve this on to p of c uc umb ers top ped with pa prika a s a c rud ite.     powder or c innamon, mac aand/orlucuma).3. Whip it. Whip it goo d . You c ould use a forkor even a whiskif you have suc h things

    your kitc hen. Ac t like you're m aking the b a tter for c ake. Ge t it nic e a nd smo oth.4. Finally, add some c oc onut nectaror raw a gave nec tarto ta ste. I put ab out 1/4 of

    5. Your last step is to pour the liquid into some choc olate moldsor even rubber ic etrays. Now stick this in the freezer for 15-20 minutes (or until solid) or even in the fridgefor 30-40 if you d on't have m uc h free zer spac e.
