SAP Best Practices Installation 1 PreparationBefore the installation of the building block, some preparatory activities must be performed. Some of these activities can only be performed manually, while others are automated. All of these activities are described on the following pages.

2 PrerequisitesBefore starting the installation, complete the following activities: Read the Quick Guide document delivered with the specific SAP Best Practices for SAP Business All-in-One installation. Ensure that you meet the recommended prerequisites.

2.1 Defining Countries in SAP SystemsUseThe purpose of this activity is to maintain global parameters for India.

2.2 Checking Logon LanguageThe logon language must be EN.

2.3 Checking Operating ConcernThis active to check whether the Operating Concern 1040 already exists by Transaction code KEA0.

2. Enter V_CURC in the Table/View field, and choose Display. 3. On the Change View Currencies: Overview screen, check the currency entries for completeness. The currency table must have entries for all currencies that occur in your business transactions.

2.5 Checking Holiday and Factory CalendarUse SAP AG Page 6 of 30

The validity of the holiday and factory calendars need to be checked and extended if necessary. The some of the standard settings are valid until year 2010 only and need to extended. Several business functions are using the calendar information.

The validity of the Holiday Calendar and the holidays have to be checked according to the legal requirements of the related country.

ProcedureCarry out the following steps: 1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options: IMG-Menu Transaction Code SAP Netweaver General Settings Currencies Maintain Calendar SCAL .

2. Select the Holiday calendar and click on Change

3. On the Change Public Holiday Calendar: Overview screen, select the Holiday Calendar entry specific for your country and region. 4. Click on Change .

5. On the Change Public Holiday Calendar: Details screen, check and change the Valid to field to a future year (like +3 years). 6. Check the validity range of every public holiday assigned to the holiday calendar. Extend the validity if necessary. 7. Click on Save to save the entries. Confirm the message regarding transporting of holiday and fabric calendar settings. 8. Click on Back 9. to the SAP Calendar: Main Menu screen. .

Select the Factory calendar and click on Change

10. On the Change Factory Calendar: Overview screen, select the Factory Calendar entry specific for your country and region. 11. Click on Change .

12. On the Change Factory Calendar: Details screen, check and change the Valid to field to a future year (like +3 years). 13. Click on Save to save the entries and leave the IMG activity.

ResultThe validity of both Holiday and Factory Calendar, and the public holidays have been checked and extended to a future year.

2.7 Creating RegionsUseThe purpose of this activity is to maintain state codes for India. The codes defined here are as per ISO 3166-2 standard.

Make sure that the Date Format is set up according to your countrys default, like, for example, DD.MM.YYYY. 5. Make sure to assign your printer in the field output device. The recommended entry for the installation is LP01. 6. Save your settings. 7. When the complete installation procedure is finished, you may change these values as desired.

ResultThe decimal notation and date format have been set up according to your country specific format. The standard printer has been defined.

4 Creating Factory CalendarUseThe purpose of this activity is to add missing public holidays in SAP.

7 Form Printout7.1 Uploading Graphic FileUseTo personalize the print forms, your own company logo as bitmap can be loaded into the system.

Procedure1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options: SAP ECC menu Transaction code 2. Run the transaction. 3. On the screen Administration of Form Graphics expand the structure Form Graphics and select the BMAP Bitmap Images element. 4. Select the radio button Black and White Bitmap Image or Color Bitmap Image depending on the format of the bitmap file of your company logo. 5. Choose the menue Graphic Import (F5) and enter the following values: Field name FILENAME TDNAME PROP_VALUE Description File name Name Description User action and values Select the file and folder of the bitmap file Company /SMBA0/AA_LEAF Please use this name to get the logo updated in all forms Comment Tools Form Printout Administration Graphic SE78

Save 6. Choose Enter to import the graphic file.

ResultYour company logo has been imported into the system and is available as /SMBA0/AA_LEAF object. The print forms are now displaying the logo of your company.
