Advice to Me
Advice from MeDo:• Find a profession, then a job• Look up and learn• Look across and learn• Look outside the department,
company, business• Look down and mentor• Read job descriptions even if
you’re not in the market
Remember:• A mentor doesn’t have to be a
“mentor”• It’s okay to be quiet, but don’t be
shy• The higher the position the fewer
mentors (cast a wider net) • You don’t know everything!!• You have my permission to not take
all the advice you get.
