It´s during the aging period in oak casks that the ruby color becomes red amber tawny, which gives the name to this type of port wine. Recognized by its smoothness, velvety texture, ripened fruity aroma and dry fruit taste. At the end, you can feel balsamic shades and creamy flavors. This 10 years old tawny makes an excellent dessert wine. It goes well with cheese, “crème brulée” or fruit tarts. In warmer months should be served very slightly chilled. The 10 years old tawny port is a superb example of

Le Porto blanc 10 ans d'âge de Butler Nephew est
élaboré à partir de raisins blancs du Douro de la même
manière qu’un tawny traditionnel. Ce porto blanc est
né de l'assemblage de plusieurs millésimes sélectionnés
et vieillis en fût plus de 10 ans, pour aboutir à un vin
d'exception. Jaune tirant vers l'orange avec des
nuances dorées, le porto blanc de Butler Nephew
exprime un arôme complexe et intense de fruits secs,
de miel et notes boisées délicates dignes d'un vieux
porto. Il est très doux et équilibré en bouche, avec une
allonge riche, toute en fraîcheur.
