10 Days Scenic MYSTICAL BHUTAN 10DPBH Day 1- Singapore Kolkatta - Paro - Thimphu (L/D) Druk Air flight to Paro is one of the most spectacular of all mountain flights. Whether flying along the Himalayan range over the foothills, each flight is a mesmerizing feat and offers exciting descent into the Kingdom. On arrival at the airport you will be accorded a very warm reception by a Representative of tour guide and transfer to Thimphu, capital city of Bhutan. After lunch, we start our sightseeing tour including visit to the Grand National Library. Just above the library is the Painting School, known more formally as the National Institute of Zorig Chusum, which offers six years course on Bhutan’ s traditional crafts for those who are artistically inclined. Heritage Museum - Dedicated to connecting people to the Bhutanese rural past though exhibition of artifact used in rural households. Textile Museum - witnesses the art of traditional weaving. After dinner, you may explore yourself in the city with several bars and disco livening up your nightlife! Day 2 - Tour of Thimphu (B/L/D) After breakfast Thimphu tour include visit to the National Memorial Chorten, it built in 1974 in memory of the third King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck by his mother. Next we visit the “mini zoo” which is now only a large outdoor enclosure that holds one of the strangest looking creatures you are likely to see The Takin (National Animal). Visit post office for verities of stamps and also you can make your own personalized stamp. We also visit to the Paper Factory where paper made of Daphne and still making according the traditional technique way. Simtokha Dzong -on a lofty ridge, its the oldest fortress in the Kingdom. Centenary Farmers’ Market- Every Saturday and Sunday most of the Thimphu population congregate on the banks of the river where the weekend market is held. Enjoy the Bhutanese cultural show. Day 3- Thimphu Punakha (B/L/D) We heading east today, the view of the eastern Himalayas from Dochu La pass is the best in country. We will reach one of the highest pass lies at 10150ft high. The road bifurcates forming by striking chortens. There are 108 chortens in 3 tiers of 45, 36 & 27 circumscribing a single larger chorten. Continue drive to the ancient capital of Bhutan, Punakha. At north-Punakha for a short excursion to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyel Chorten. it stands majestically on a strategic ridge above the Punakha valley. Thragthung Dudjom Lingpa visualized it out of Buddhist treasure teachings. It is a sacred religious edifice, which will help to ward off negative forces, promote peace, stability and harmony. This chorten is a fine architectural and divine manifestation and constructional designs are drawn from the scriptures and not from the technical books. it is also an esoteric embodiment of positive forces prevailing over all negative influences in the three forms of existence. According to Lamas, the Chorten is a quintessence of Buddhism and in various ways it will promote the health and happiness of people, and subjugate all evils. Visit Punakha Dzong, which lies between two rivers, known as Phochu and Mochu, symbolizing the co-existence of the masculine and the feminine currents of different colours, uniting at this confluence. Overnight at Punakha. 04 Day. Punakha - Bumthang (B/L/D) Early morning a scenic drive to Bumthang region, which comprises four major valleys: those are Chumey and Choekhor for agricultural activities, and Tang and Ura’s sheep and yak breeding is more popular. This region has the highest concentration of temples and monasteries and known as the most beautiful valley in Bhutan. We cross the high pass Pele La (11,070ft), which marked by chortens and prayer flags. The next village is Chendebji, and 2kms further your right lies the spectacular Chendebji Chorten on the banks of the Nikkar Chu. This startling white stone chorten is built in the Nepalese style with eyes painted on all four sides. It is an extremely serene spot and one of the most picturesquely in Bhutan. Continue drive to Trongsa. We stop by at the viewpoint to marvel the good overview of the awe-inspiring dzong on the opposite hill face with the river rushing below. Before arriving Bumthang, we also visit the weaving center at Chumey valley. This is a sheep rearing area and yields high quality wool that used to make “yathas” that this village is famed for.

Day 1- Singapore – Kolkatta - Paro - Thimphu (L/D) Druk Air flight to Paro is one of the most spectacular of all mountain flights. 05 Day. Bumthang – Full day excursion (B/L/D) Begin a day by visiting Jakar Dzong, which was built as monastery and later converted to a dzong. This “dzong of the White Bird” was so named by the Ngagi Wangchuk. Continue our visiting to Jambay Lhakhang, this temple is dedicated to Maitreya or Jampa and the central shrine holds a large statue of this Buddha of the Future. The walls are painted with the Thousands Buddhas (1004 Buddhas). Next we drive up the valley to reach the exquisite Kurjey Lhakhang complex. This is the country’s most historical holy place and it surrounded by 108 chortens & 3 temples within. It is here that Guru Pabmasambhava meditated when he first visited the country, leaving an imprint of his body on the rock enshrined here. After lunch, we take a short drive to the Tang valley where you can visit the site of Terton Pema Lingpa’s greatest finds – Membartso or “Flaming Lake” which is one of the great pilgrim sites of Bhutan. Here you can find many colorful miniature stupas (Tsa-Tsa) and each of them is an ancient prayer for the well being of beloved human. Last but not least, we bring you to visit the local shop in Batpalathang town. You have chance to buy some local cheese, apple wine, brandy, whisky & beer. 06 Day. Bumthang – Phobjikha valley (B/L/D) Today we heading back to Phobjikha valley. On the way back, we pay visit to the Trongsa Dzong - the most impressive dzong in Bhutan and it is intricately layered into the hillside. The structure is aesthetically designed with finely carved woodwork and elegant paintings. Firstly, we visit the Chorten Lhakhang, was built at this strategic location and lies at the southern end of dzong. Continue walking and find a visit to the main Lhakhang (kuenrey), is dedicated to Maitreya with a large statue within and some superb executed paintings. We also can clamber up to the Ta Dzong which is now being converted to a museum. We make a gradual descent into the glacier Phobjika valley famed for the migratory black-necked cranes that make it their winter home. Local lore has it that these “thrung thrung karmo” circle the Gantey Gompa 3 times on their arrival and also when they fly out. We also visit the Crane Observation and Education Center to learn more about this beautiful winged creature. Over night at Phobjikha. Day 7 – Phobjikha – Wangdiphodrang (B/L/D) After breakfast we begin with short hike and photography around the valley and blacked necked crane (Phobjikha valley is the winter habitat of the black-necked Cranes), visit Gangtey Gonpa the oldest Nyingma Buddhist Institute in Bhutan after that continue our journey to Wangdi. Then short excursion to Chimi Lhakhang, a temple dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kuenley, who was known as the famous saint of Bhutanese people is affectionately known as “Divine Mad Monk”. Overnight at the hotel in Wangdi. Day 8- Wangdi – Paro (B/L/D) Today we’ll retrace our drive back to Paro for approximately 3 and half hours, En route lunch stop at Thimphu. Aftern lunch, we visit an awesome Paro Dzong, which means ‘the fortress of the heap of jewels’ and built in 1646. Today the Dzong is the administrative seat of the district of Paro and houses of the official monk-body. Our next to National Museum , it consist of 6 floors of clockwise direction and is a repository of not only precious works of art but also costumes, armour and other hand crafted objects of daily life, stapms, stuffed animals, silverwork and many more. Visit to Kyichu temple which dates back to the 7th century. it is one of the last three surviving temples. In the 7th century 108 such temples were built by a Tibetan King.. Visit a Bhutanese farm house to see how a Bhutanese farmer lives. Overnight stay at the hotel. Day 9- Paro tour (B/L/D) You will have an early breakfast and walk about 2-3 hours to Taktshang Monastery perched giddily on a rocky ledge, with a waterfall cascading as if from the blue. Taktshang means ‘Tiger’s Nest’. Guru Padmasambhava, known as the Second Buddha, alighted from flying tigress and meditated at this shrine in the second half of the 8th century. As a result, it is the dream destination for Buddhist pilgrims from the world over. If desired, pony ridings would be arranged (Option Tour). Drukgyal Dzong - A morning drive, north of Paro valley brings us to the ruins of Drukgyal Dzong. Built in 1647 by the great Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, father and unifier of medieval Bhutan, the Dzong was destroyed by an accidental fire and left in ruins as an evocative reminder of the great victories it was built to commemorate. Explore the ramparts and relive the memories of a glorious past. Day 10- Paro – Kolkatta -Singapore (B) After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight home via Kolkatta. 第二天: 廷布 (早午晚餐)

国家纪念碑,1974 年落成,纪念第三世国王的延布纪念佛塔是一座尼泊尔式的佛塔,由第三世国王的母亲建造,随时都

有老人家在这边转经轮,绕着佛塔转圈祈福,还有人每天从早转到晚,也有许多上班族是在上下班前后来这边走几圈;

前往塔金动物园,观看不丹的国兽—塔金(Takin),这种羊头牛身的动物只有在不丹能够看见。参观邮政局,不丹邮票在

国际集邮界享有盛名。不丹邮票是一位瑞士籍女婿协助于 1960 年代发展起来,凭着精美的材质、印刷和多样主题快速

走红。参观手工造纸厂, 不丹的传统手工纸非常有名。西姆托卡宗是不丹最古老的寺庙,建于 1626-1627 年,现在是寺

院文书研究院,藏有 8 位波迪萨塔尔最逼真的肖像以及一些漂亮的壁画和雕刻。这座最古老的城堡曾是不丹的社会、宗

教、教育中心,现在为僧众研究佛教的文化学院。寺内供奉藏教著名的莲花生大师。

第三天:廷布-普纳卡 (早午晚餐)

今天我们将向东部出发。车开出廷布约半小事所经过的全不丹最出名的都楚拉隘口。这个隘口矗立着 108 座白佛塔。这

108 座佛塔兴建于 2004 年,是由当时不丹四世国王的母亲(太后)所兴建,为的是荣耀四世国王在前一年(2003)与南方阿

萨姆的印度分离主义恐怖分子战斗的获胜,同时也为国家的和平与繁荣祈福!参观卡姆沙耶里纳耶纪念碑,是不丹唯一

一座全部供奉各类护法神的佛塔,他的各层分别供奉着不同的保护神的神像。这在世界上也是独一无二的。它是不丹的

建国者沙布隆在不丹修建的第二座城堡,直到 1950 年,这里仍然是国家政府所在地,普纳卡也即是不丹的旧都。普纳

卡宗是公认的不丹最美丽的宗堡,在颜色瑰丽的高塔里,保存着古代不丹沙布隆的真身遗体,遗体以香料防腐。

第四天:普纳卡-布姆唐 (早午晚餐)

继续开行前往黑山山脉上的海拔 3420 米的帕乐拉隘口(Pele La Pass),然后前往中部重镇同萨。继而在辰德基佛塔

(Chendebji Chorten)前停留参观(建于 17 世纪的尼泊尔式佛塔),进入同萨宗(Trongsa,2180 米)之前,我们可以

沿途观赏同萨美丽风光。抵达后入住酒店休息

第五天:布姆唐 (早午晚餐)

参观加卡宗(Jakar Dzong),这里是布姆塘地区的行政管理部门所在地,意为“白鸟城堡”。参观由藏王松赞干布建造的不

丹第一座寺庙“降白寺。参观“库杰寺(Kurje Lhakhang)”,因莲花生大师曾在此修行而成为不丹最重要的宗教圣地之一。

午餐后,乘车到唐谷(Tang valley),这里可以看到伏藏师最伟大的发现:Membartso or “Flaming Lake”(火焰湖),这

里也是不丹著名的朝圣地,在这里你可以看到彩色的舍利塔,每座塔都是在为人类幸福祈祷。

第六天:布姆唐-富哲卡 (早午晚餐)

今天返回富哲卡。路上参观通萨宗-这是最让人印象深刻的宗堡,散乱的分布于山坡上。建筑设计的很精美,处处是精美

绝伦的木雕和绘画,首先参观的是主殿 Chorten Lhakhang,坐落于宗堡的南面,接着步行到 Lhakhang (kuenrey),供奉

着菩萨的神像,还有宏伟的绘画,接着可以爬到 Ta Dzong,这里现在改为了博物馆。在到达旺杜之前,我们随着海拔降

低,来到 Phobjika valley,这里是闻名的黑颈鹤的冬季栖息地,当地传说黑颈鹤会在起飞和降落时绕刚提寺 Gantey

Gompa 寺庙飞行三圈;我们会参观黑颈鹤保护区和教育基地,学习更多关于这种美丽生物的更多知识。

第七天:富哲卡-旺杜 (早午晚餐)

参观富吉卡山谷传奇的刚提寺,位于一座由谷底延绵而起的小山上面。寺院周围是一个大型的村庄,这里是不丹唯一最

大的藏传佛教宁玛巴寺院。参观切米拉康(Chimi Lhakhang),是喇嘛朱卡库拉(Lama Drukpa Kunley)的堂兄为纪念他

降伏恶魔而建的寺庙。喇嘛朱卡库拉是被不丹人广泛尊崇的圣人,称之为癫狂圣贤,他的佛法教义贯穿了美酒、美女,

很多他的信徒以和他交欢为荣耀。寺庙里面的喇嘛用代表朱卡库拉生殖器的骨雕和木雕器物敲击你的头,这是对朝拜者

的一种赐福。

第八天:旺杜-帕罗 (早午晚餐)

前往迷人的帕罗大峡谷,那里有翠绿的稻田和清冽的河水,中午在廷布用午餐。午餐后参观帕罗宗堡,名字意为珠宝堆

积起来的城堡,建于 1646 年,今天这座宗堡是帕罗政府机关所在地和官方 monk-body 的建筑。下一站是参观国家博物

馆,它有六层,可以顺时针旋转而上,这里不仅存放着宝贵的艺术品,同时也保存很多服装、盔甲、日常手工艺品、邮

票、动物标本、银器等等。前往克楚寺,由藏王松赞干布修建的不丹最老的寺庙。

第九天:帕罗 (早午晚餐)

早餐后前往虎穴寺,它位于悬崖峭壁上,高出帕罗峡谷地面 900 米,极为壮观。据说莲花生大师乘雌虎坐骑来此修行,

这里也因此被奉为圣地,全不丹的信徒均来此顶礼膜拜。到虎穴寺的险途-这段上山的路程很艰难,需要大约 2 个半小时

才能登顶,这里的壮美景色会让人终生难忘(也可以选择自费骑马)上到茶馆所在的位置,那里也可以欣赏虎穴寺的美

景。午餐安排在半山腰的简易自助餐厅。下山也需要约 2 小时路程。Drukyel Dzong 的废墟,古代为纪念不丹在 1644 年

战胜西藏入侵者而建,这场战争结束后,这里被用作西藏和不丹的贸易通道。

第十天: 帕罗-新加坡 VIA 加尔各答 (早餐)

早餐后我们将搭乘国际航班(经停加尔各答)返回新加坡温暖的家。
