We started with the demolition of the existing cottage in late 2016. This custom home

was finished in July of 2017. With the unique landscape, it allowed us to take full advan-

tage of the lake view from all three stories.

From the outside, you will notice the masonry, siding and trims that will allow for a

maintenance free home for years to come. As you approach the front porch, you will

notice the Entry Door with operable side lights, a nice touch for the breezy atmosphere

of the lake. When entering the foyer, look to your left and you will see French doors that

open into the Den, allowing a secluded area from the open floor plan. By walking into

the Kitchen, the open concept of the first floor is evident. The Kitchen features an island

with seating, stainless steel appliances and a pantry. The Dining Area has a slider that

connects you to the Three Season Room. The Three Season Room features a beautiful

view of the lake through the PGT windows that outline the room.

The Great Room, where your view of the lake can easily be seen through the large 12’

slider, also leads to the Three Season Room. The Great Room is two stories, allowing

for the second-floor balcony with open handrail and banisters. The masonry work around

the two-sided fireplace and custom built-ins adds the finishing touch to the room.

The Master Bedroom is a masterpiece; with the other side of the fireplace and a great

view of the lake, it’s a dream of a room. The Master Bath features a walk-in shower with

no curb or shower door, allowing for the continued living for any age, and a private area

for the water closet. The Master Closet is nicely designed to share with your significant

other, and also leads into the Laundry Area, making life flow easily.

The second story features the Balcony with a Loft Area. Bedroom Two and Three

share a Jack and Jill bathroom, while Bedroom Four has a bathroom directly across

from it. The Loft, Bedroom Three and Four, all have

beautiful views of the lake.

Not to be forgotten is the lower level, a perfect way to

connect to the lake. It features a large Play Room with a

slider to the lakeside patio, which is given cover by the

Three Season Room above. A Studio, which in this case

will be used as a sewing and art room, has a great view

of the lake for the perfect inspiration. There is a Full Bath

and large area for storage with a stained glass workshop.

There is also a Shelter Room in case of the perfect storm!

The name Katka’s Koliba is given by its owner who spent years living in Slovakia; the trans-

lation is Kathie’s Chalet. As unique as the name, this house will amaze you. From the road

side, you will notice the masonry and fiber cement siding along with the trims, all meant to

stand the test of time for maintenance free living. Stamped concrete adds a nice touch to the

road and lakeside of the home.

Upon entering the Foyer, notice the wainscoting and open staircase leading to the second

floor. As you walk toward the lakeside living area, you will access the Laundry Room equipped

with an ice maker. An additional entrance into the home makes for great access to the water

closet and sink, a perfect place for coming in off the lake. As you enter the Dining Area, take

time to notice the wine niche with chiller and hidden pantry.

The Guest Suite contains a private Bath with walk-in tiled shower and large walk-in closet.

As you enter the lakeside of the home, take in all of the trim details. A large archway leads

you into the Dining Area where doors lead to a covered porch. The view of the lake is spec-

tacular from the entire lakeside of this home. The Kitchen features an island with seating,

stainless steel appliances, custom cabinetry and a Breakfast Room. The Great Room fea-

tures a fireplace with custom built-ins floor to ceiling along the north wall and coffered ceilings.

Large glass doors lead to the Outdoor Living Area.

The Outdoor Living Area is the perfect space for gatherings. Stamped concrete, masonry

retaining walls and beautiful landscaping fill this area. The fire pit with built-in seating, makes

for great evening entertainment. The Outdoor Kitchen has concrete countertops and is cov-

ered with a pergola. Large stepping stones lead to the lake.

The steps off the foyer lead to the second story loft, where you will find a large Bunk Room

with several custom built-in bunk beds, each with their own wall sconce and media charging

station. An additional bedroom and private bath are located off the

Loft Area as well. Continuing on, built-ins line the walls of a Sit-

ting Room which leads to a covered upper deck. From the Sitting

Area, you can access the Master Bedroom, with fireplace, that

leads to the Master Bath and walk-in closet.

From the sitting area, you will step down into a beautiful Study

filled with built-ins and a custom window seat. A stunning spiral

staircase takes you to a third story Look Out room for a great pri-

vate view of the lake.
