The money is spent to enable us to worship, but also on outreach. Part of the outreach is by enabling our building to be used by community organizations, and by direct allocations of funds to deserving causes. But another part of the outreach is through our contribution to the diocese, and goes to outreach on a national and global level, both by financial support and by speaking out about our beliefs upon occasion. We can act on our Christianity by giving and speaking out individually to various causes, but doing this through the church is a stronger and more powerful demonstration to the outside world of our commitment to Christianity. NECROLOGY Remember to put the name of your loved ones whom you wish to be remembered on All Saints Day on the Necrology List by October 25. JOIN US FOR ALL SAINT'S DAY BRUNCH As part of the festivities for all Saint's Day, please plan to join us after the 9 AM joint service for Sunday brunch. A sign-up sheet is available on the ECW bulletin board downstairs if you would like to bring something to contribute. INSTALLATION OF BISHOP MICHAEL CURRY We plan to have access to the Diocese website for the installation of Bishop Michael Curry as Presiding Bishop, on Sunday, November 1 at 1 pm! Join us in the Lottie Horn room for the inaugural use of our new tv! MOVIE NIGHT Movie Night returns to St. Dunstan’s, at St. Dunstan’s, on Friday, Nov. 6, 2015 at 5:30pm with “CRASH,” starring Sandra Bullock, Don Cheadle and Matt Dillon. It is a thrilling and provocative movie and won a Best Picture Academy Award. Pizza and soft drinks will be provided, so please let Marian, Tracy or Muffet know if you plan to attend. Would anyone like to bring in some homemade cookies for dessert? PRAYER REQUESTS As requested, Prayer Request Cards are now on hooks in the pews, as well as on the table at the back of the nave.

reconciliation. ~ Candlelight ~ Scripture ~ Silence ~ Song ~ Prayer ~

St. Saviour’s is handicap accessible and everyone is welcome! www.stsaviours.me

A note from Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry: “Thank you all for supplying us with so many egg cartons. We are currently well supplied so please hold off for now. We can still use plastic bags for distributing produce and frozen items. With the sudden dip in temperatures we would like to ask for contributions of warm winter hats for adults and children. These could be hand knit or new, purchased hats and may be left at the pantry any Monday, Wednesday or Friday morning until 11 AM. A full tummy and a cozy warm hat can do so much for one's sense of well being as we face the colder months. Thanks for your help.”

Volunteer Opportunity - Apple Picking with Healthy Acadia - Mon. Oct. 26 There is an annual apple gleaning you can volunteer for on Monday, October 26 from 8 AM - 3 PM at Johnston's Apple Orchard in North Ellsworth. Volunteers are needed to help harvest apples for distribution to food pantries and community meal sites throughout the region. Groups and individuals are welcome, morning and afternoon shifts are

available. Rain date is October 27. RSVP to [email protected].

Remember to wear your nametags each Sunday!
