Benediction Pastor David Sung E. Choi

To Loving Members of TFBC

Finally, the year 2018 is here. All the Christmas Trees are taken down from the streets and many parties and meetings took place to finish the year with busy-ness. Many had hopes and expectations for the new year. Their hearts were filling with hoping for better economy, better career, better health and comfort for the families and children. As a senior pastor, I pray that all your prayer requests will be answered. The 7 years of Canaan conquest ended and it is the time for dividing the lands and I pray that God's overflowing blessing will be upon all of you who served for the church and missions. Prioritizing the heavenly things and doing the best will grant you blessings from heaven above and earth There were new year special early morning services with the title of "Church, Rise Up Again" There were special blessings that were different from other years. It gave us opportunity to recheck our life priorities and identity through the letter to the Corinth. I hope you will not forget the blesses that you re-ceived and continue to hold onto the word of God as your spiritual food for the rest of the year. Lastly, there is one thing I want to share in regards to walking with God. I want to share from the book of Isaiah that I shared during Wed service. It is to trust in God and not on life. Do not lean on the weak being but trust in God who created the life and saves. Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem? (Isaiah 2:22) Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing. (Psalm 146:3-4) If you fear men, you will be discouraged or be angry. People are just like us who breath through the nose and weak being. Many stumble in spiritual walk as they fear the people and the circumstances. Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe. (Proverbs 29:25) Yes it is so. God is the only one that we need to trust. In God, whose word I praise—in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? (Psalm 56:4) God also speaks to His children, “I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings who are but grass, (Isaiah 51:12) So our confession must be like this, So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” (Hebrews 13:6) Not fearing men is not acting rude and prideful in front of people. That means trusting God and fearing God and that will lead to answers to life problems. I pray that as you reflect Psalm 37, great comfort will be with you this year. Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your right-eous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. (Psalm 37:3-6) I love you and thank you. I bless you in the Lord

In Christ, Senior Pastor David Choi
