Summer in Haringey 2019 From acting to arts and crafts, skateboarding to Taekwondo-do, your council is putting on or supporting dozens of exciting activities across Haringey this summer. This programme gives you all the information you need to have a great time during the summer holidays.Despite central government cuts to our budget, the council has teamed up with local schools, sports clubs, parks and arts venues to pull together an action-packed programme designed to keep young people and children entertained during the long summer break. The long school holidays are now a time for fun, engagement and to try out new experiences.This year’s programme is a bumper edition and we are delighted to be able to offer even more activities for young people to enjoy. This is all part of our promise to invest in our young people and ensure they have access to the facilities and opportunities they deserve.This year’s highlights include week-long sports camps and many hands-on activities such as jewellery making and cooking; high-energy activities including boxing,

dance and swimming; creative sessions such as filmmaking and art, and lots of other activities. Many events are free or for a small fee, and many don’t even need to be booked – you can just turn up on the day and get involved.
