1) Commitment

Either you do it or you don’t, there is no try. - Yoda

As we make commitment for running we make acommitment to raising funds for the underprivileged.

Most of our friends need an opportunity to contribute towards a good and reliable cause. You need to be convinced of the cause and remember that you are providing an occasion.

2) Organized effort The marathon training program lasts over 5 monthover which you can fundraise. (You also have an additional month after that.)

Make a list of all your friends (acquaintances) who may be interested in knowing about your program.

The majority of the fundraising is emailing and calling friends.

3) Persistence and tracking

Most of our friends procrastinate, receiving a donation on the first contact is very rare.

Reminders to your friends at milestones, e.g. half-way point.

Send out pictures of your races.

Follow up with company matching with friends with the help of administrators of the program.

How many donors would I need to contact to reach my fundraising goal?

Half-marathon10-15 donors will be required to reach your target.

Full-marathon 20-25 donors needed to reach your target.
