• Building started in 2003

• Currently about 260 AP’s (target 420 AP’s by 12/2007, COMPETENCE Oulu 400 program)

• Mostly indoor coverage (city hall, city hospital, city theatre, elderly centers, health stations, libraries, offices, schools, sports facilities etc.)

• Outdoor coverage at selected locations (city centre, Raksila sports area, Myllyoja suburb etc.)

• Also mobile hotspots (panOULU buses, mobile library, Hailuoto ferry)

• 25 AP’s in 5 departments and common facilities

• Secure okswlan for hospital’s own use• Staff uses wireless terminals at patient rooms

• Open and free panOULU for patients and their visitors• Wireless devices (laptops, internet tablets) are available

• 2.4 MEUR development program (5/2005 – 12/2007)
