• Youth Art Clubs From Across Cambodia
• Estimated 200 Participants
• Khmer Arts in Kandal Province (it’s fancy)
• Khmer Professional: Meet and Greet, Workshops, and Performances
• Youth Art: Showcased, Presented, Performed, Celebrated
$$$ MONEY $$$• PCPP Grant Funded (Pending)
• Each community will provide 25% of their total costs•Approximately $6.50 per attendee•Covers food, lodging, transportation, t-shirts, certificates, small stipend for materials, and fun
Fundraiser Ideas: community performances, donations, gallery opening, baked rice sale, Student Red Cross, talent show
PCV INVOLVEMENT• Facilitate bi-weekly arts based clubs with
a Khmer counterpart.
• Logistics: keep attendance logs, organize transportation, chaperones, permission slips, application, funding, and receipts.
• Role model alternative teaching techniques.
• Help get an organization or professional involved.
CLUB IDEAS• Music, Choir, Songwriting, Instrumental
• Spoken Word, Story Telling, Poetry
• Theater, Plays, Sketch Comedy, Improv, Mime
• Group Dance, Solo Dance
• Visual Art: Painting, Drawing, Collage, Posters, Sculpture, Comic

TIMELINE• Start and facilitate club as soon as
possible

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT
• Art clubs can be useful to promote all sorts of messages and awareness.
• Role modeling alternative education techniques.
• Artistic abilities of PCVs and students do not matter.
• Look for existing interests in your community.
• New and exciting opportunity for Khmer youth.
