Sacagawea was born in what is now Idaho in 1788.

She grew up with the Shoshoni tribe. Sacagawea lived with her mom, dad,

grandmother, and her big and little brothers.

Sacagawea did not go to a formal school.

She was trained mostly by her grandmother.

She was trained to sew,make baskets,and other things to make her a true Indian woman.
