RE: Initial Plan of Exploration OCS-G-6039 Matagorda 616

Gentlemen,

Texoma Production Company and its partners Mitchell Energy, Valero Producing, Norse Petroleum, and Challenger Minerals, Inc., purchased OCS-G-6039 Matagorda 616 1n the August 1983 OCS Lease Sale. Texoma Production Company will be the operator of the lease.

Two exploratory wells (A straight hole and B directional) will be drilled from a surface location of 1200 FWL and 6700 FNL of the lease block.

Drilling activities should commence on or about March 1, 1984 with the Kevs 303 or one bf a slmiHar nature. Drilling activities should be complete by June 1, 1984. Water depth at the location 1s approximately 40'.

Texoma has on file with Minerals Management a current oil spill contingency olan. Also, Texoma Is a member of Clean Gulf Associates ar.d should a spill occur the clean Gulf Associates Facilities at Galveston will be utilized. Deployment time for the oil spill equipment from Galveston to the location at Matagorda 616 1s approximately twelve hours.

Texoma's base of operations will be out of the IMCO Docks at Port O'Connor, Texas.
