ANTHROPOLOGICAL SURVEY OF INDIA, since Feb ‘12Biological Anthropology (DNA Laboratory) Senior Research Fellow

Spearheading efforts as Senior Research Fellow; completed the DNA sequencing, processing, analysis and mutation detection of around 800 DNA samples for 5 genes using the DNA sequencing instrument 3730 DNA analyzer.

Research work on Phylogeny study of Indian populations (around 36 communities) with the technology of whole genome sequencing of mtDNA and DNA fingerprinting of Y-Chromosome as a team member of the project ‘DNA polymorphism of the Contemporary Indian Populations’.

Responsible for conducting research activities of the project, initialization of research proposals, finalization of research proposals.

Prepare Specifications, Technical summary reports, validation summary reports, analytic data review and Technology transfer protocols & printing of extension manuals and reports.
