Quick Reference Guide
Select a Destination inputmethod.(In this example Placesand By POI CategoryType is selected.)
Select desired place type.(ATTRACTION is selected.)
Select the search method.(Sort by POI Name isselected.)
Type in the POI Name. A list of matches mayappear. Select desireddestination.
Select OK to Proceed toset the destination. Map isdisplayed. Follow thenavigation.
■ Basic OperationsThe following example briefly describes how to input a destination.The Route button is grayed out if Home address or Destination have not been set. Car must beparked when using Edit and Setup feature.

Go to Bluetooth Setup and turn on Bluetooth.
Start Discover Mode.
On your mobile phone, make sure Bluetooth is on, then search forBluetooh devices.
Select NVE-P1 name and enter the passkey shown on the Navigationscreen.
When your mobile phone is connected, the message, "Syncing phone..."appears momentarily, then the Bluetooth icon appears momentarily.
When the address book is downloaded, the message, "Syncing phonedata complete." appears momentarily.
IMPORTANTTo enable Bluetooth function on NVE-P1, Bluetooth setting on MMS (IVA-W203/IVA-W505) must be set to “NAV.”.
Enable SETUP function on MMS by applying security brake sequence.
SETUP ➔ SYSTEM SETUP ➔ BLUETOOTH IN
Set to “NAV.” (Default: OFF) 3

■ Docking NVE-P1 to MMS (IVA-W203 and IVA-W505)
■ Removing NVE-P1 from MMS (IVA-W203 and IVA-W505)
Press Open button of 2 DIN MMS face and toucheither Open or Eject on the screen.
Press the eject button on the right side of 2 DINMMS inside face.
Remove NVE-P1 from 2DIN MMS.3

Press Open button of 2 DIN MMS face and touch Openon the screen.
Insert NVE-P1 into the unit with Alpine logo facing up(reset button on the right).
Press firmly into place.
Touch Close on the screen to close 2DIN MMS face.
Select Navigation as a source.5

Note: If Bluetooth is OFF, a message askingBluetooth to be turned ON will appear onthe screen.After Bluetooth is ON, if your phone is notconnected, the Bluetooth Discover Modemessage will be displayed.

■ Placing Calls
When your mobile phone is actively paired with NVE-P1, a pop-upwindow will appear when you have an incoming call. The caller IDnumber will be displayed when available. Touch Answer to accept thecall or Ignore to ignore it.
