Mission Statement The Oliver Ames High School community of faculty, staff, students, parents, and residents believe that in order to fulfill its mission of excellence and equity in education, we must embody the ideals of a comprehensive high school. We will work together to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment. Oliver Ames High School in a collaborative effort with every school in district, will provide ongoing professional development around the pending implementation of the new teacher and administrator evaluation system including understanding the evaluative cycle (Self-Assessment, Analysis/Goal Setting/Plan Development, Implementation, Formative Assessment/Evaluation, Summative Evaluation), unpacking the teacher performance rubrics and making them more transparent to teachers, placing a greater emphasis on evidence gathering to support goals, providing regular feedback after unannounced mini-observations and adhering to the timelines regulated by the DESE in regards to this system.

14. New Goal for 2014 Advocate for development of a multi-purpose student activity room to be located in the current storage area under the art department . A hardwood floor installed for dance team and a work bench area for the robotics team. This would entail some design and construction work to bring area up to code but would solve space issues that hinder these two active programs from growing.
