Mitigation Program Summary
• Insures compliance with MPWMD Water Allocation Program EIR measures to mitigate for impacts from the extraction of water to meet municipal demand on the Monterey Peninsula
• Includes both direct and indirect measures to protect and manage natural resources

• Carmel River Management Program• Irrigation Program• Interim Relief Program• Emergency Irrigation Program• Hydrologic monitoring and reporting
(stream gaging, groundwater levels and quality, water use by water distribution systems and private wells)
• Carmel River lagoon habitat monitoring

• Irrigation of Carmel River riparian corridor
