Built by Sir Christopher Wren after the Great Fire (1666).

Situated by the river Thames.

Consists of several parts.

The oldest part is called the White Tower.

Built in the 11th century by William the Conqueror.

Used to be a prison, fortress and palace.

Today it's a museum of Crown Jewels.
