Lesson 1 – Copyright & Plagiarism

Instructions:

For this project you will be grouped with a partner. You will create a Digital Story

describing the importance of copyright laws and plagiarism by using the Greek

Gods and Goddesses. You will also be creating a story board that will serve as

your script. First, you will review the websites and videos I have provided for you

in the Blendspace curation titled Copyright & Plagiarism. Then you will review

the next Blendspace curation titled Greek Gods & Goddesses. Finally, you will

review the last Blendspace curation titled Digital Storytelling. Your group will need to

review all the information provided. Your presentation must be 3-8 minutes long and cover

the importance of copyright laws and plagiarism. Your group must cite any information used

within the presentation. Please review the rubric for the presentation criteria.

Assignment:

1. Use the Copyright & Plagiarism curated resources to learn more about

plagiarism and copyright laws.

2. Use the Greek Gods & Goddesses curated resources to research and

investigate information about Greek Gods and Goddesses. Your group

may want to come up with guidelines while researching information.

3. After your group has collected all the information, use the Digital

Storytelling curated resources to become more familiar with digital

storytelling. I’ve also included some links for you to find a Web 2.0 tool of

your choice to use for creating your digital story.

4. Create a storyboard. This is where you will create your script for the

project. Use the information your group gathered to create your script.

5. Check with the teacher to get feedback on your storyboard before

beginning the process of creating your digital story.

6. After receiving feedback, make adjustments to storyboards and continue

by creating your digital story.
