Mood Board

Page 5: 1. initial plans(gaming)

Mood Board AnalysisIs there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood• Yes most of the images have bright colours giving a child friendly look. This makes sense as they are all kid friendly

games which need to follow the ASA codes. This could also mean that brighter colours are attractive and outstanding to darker game such Metroid which looks fairly bland.

• Most images I have added are of character sprites showing each and every animated position they go to. This gives a show of how characters are animated and is very useful for animators and game makers. These images all have the same type of poses as they are all mostly from super smash flash. These poses consists of jumping, ducking, attacking, special attack etc.

• A lot of the images are related to Nintendo as they made SNES which is a very popular consul which consist of pixels and then a Gameboy which also plays with pixels. I chose Nintendo images as they are all professionally made and game has their own unique style.

How will your mood board influence your final product?-I will take a lot of inspiration to the super smash flash images and the sprite images as it will teach me how to animate sprites. The images are very useful as they show in depth of how the sprites are animated. The sprites are all also different unique characters which is handy to take inspiration from.-The Pokémon town and Zelda village setting are very impressive and inspiration to my game as my game will also me a RPG. They both are birds eye view perspective giving a smart way of using pixels to make a setting. I will lean more towards the Zelda setting as it is a more fantasy game whereas Pokémon is a more modern/futuristic game. -The character creation will be very similar to the Terraria which is a sandbox game that consist of pixels and the character creation is very impressively in depth with a little amount of pixels to go with.
