European Day of LanguagesEuropean Day of Languages

• Every year, 26 September is the day we celebrate Europe’s rich linguistic heritage.

• The first European day of languages was held in 2001 

• Brussels will host International Language Days on 8 and 9 March 2013 at the Square-Brussels Meeting Centre.

• This year it takes place in the Czech Republic from 14th to 16th March 2013.

• Project was named after John Amos Comenius

• The theme of this years Comenius project is Your European Key to the World

• In this years Comenius project are Estonia, Italy, Turkey, Finland, Germany and Netherlands

• Similar project for University students is Erasmus
