National workshops on methodological issues in spices statistics

There is lot of discrepancies in the estimates of area and production of spices among different agencies involved in the country. It is felt that all these agencies to review the existing methodology and develop a refined and uniform methodology to be adopted throughout the country. For this a series of meetings and workshops are required. It is proposed to earmark Rs 3.00 lakhs for this purpose.
