Weaknesses identified Action taken
Shortage of Faculty. • Post of Professor has been filled. Recruitments of other posts are in pipeline.
Need of Teachers advance studies. • One lecturer has gone abroad for higher studies.
Lack of Laboratory Staff Trainings. • Trainings were provided to technical staffs of APT in the discipline of Dairy and Meat Processing and quality evaluation during the trainings arranged for the local communities, Dairy farmers, field staffs of Livestock and Dairy Development Board (LDDB) and house wives.
Latest instruments needed. • There were also familiarized with work protocol of lab equipments.
• Dairy processing and analytical laboratories are well equipped. Some high tech. equipments are deficit in the APT lab, but some are already available in elsewhere in the laboratories of SAU Tandojam and the facilities can be availed accordingly.

Incomplete civil work in the building.
• Major civil work of APT building has been completed, only 0.25% of electric fixtures are needed to be fixed and request has been made.
Lack of Research Academic Resources.
• Departmental library has been established for academic and research purpose, which is rich with latest books in the discipline of dairy and meat sciences, computers with internet facilities and nature methods, lab medica international, world poultry, animal production and health newsletters and AVN Agro veterinary news.
Need for the continuation of community services.
• Community awareness program has launched in the department. Approximately eight trainings in the discipline of milk and meat products processing and quality evaluation were provided to local communities and field staffs of Livestock and dairy development board.
• Besides, fourteen brochures and three booklets in English, Sindh and/or Urdu language on dairy products manufacturing have been published and distributed for awareness.
